She's starting and has 15 points in the first half, and is being guarded by a 7'2" center.

Katie got in foul trouble in the second half. She finished with 19 points on 7 of 8 from the field (carreer high I believe) and 9 boards. I thought she was moving better than I have ever seen. She caused a couple of turnovers hedging out on defense.
Much love from the chick analyst. Detroit definately was a better team with her in the game. Braxton, who had been the starter til tonight, played poorly.

Braxton has been horrible lately.

Sacramento and LA are playing in the second game of the ESPN double header. I could care less about the game, but I nominate Jenny Bouchek and Caroline Peck for best-looking coach and analyst.

I caught the second half of the game. Katie didn't score much but she had some key defensive stops, including a kicked ball that definitely should have been called against her but wasn't.

Katie even dribbled a little, backing in for a sweet jumper.

I actually watched this game for about 5-10 minutes. She definitely looked good out there. It was nice to see an LU alum participate at the highest level in their sport.

What were her final numbers?
(I can't bring myself to click on anything related to the WNBA to find out for myself)

close to the end they showed she was 7-8 for 19 pts and was called the "biggest suprise of the game" by the female announcer (?)

really looked to be a prescence in the lane- when she was out, Connecticut seemed to drive inside much easier.

she did get wacked for what appeared to be two real ticky-tack fouls though- that limited her time in the last 5 minutes.
one of them was called a block and she was absolutely set, arms up and completely motionless. A charge if I ever saw one.

she showed well.

nancy lieberman was the announcer that said that about katie.
