this is gonna be a busy thread- here's yet another honor for Megan: (we'll lose count before she graduates)

Frazee Named Big South Player Of The Week
January 16, 2006 · Lynchburg, Va.

For the second time this season, Liberty University women’s basketball player Megan Frazee has been named the Big South’s Choice Hotels Player of the Week, honoring the freshman’s efforts against Loyola and Charleston Southern last week.

Frazee (Fr., G, Xenia, Ohio) averaged 23.0 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per contest, while finishing the week shooting 63.3 percent from the field (19-of-30) and 66.7 percent from three-point range (6-of-9).

She netted 24 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field (58.3 percent) against Loyola last Tuesday, while recording her third-straight double-double as she added 13 rebounds. Frazee scored 22 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the floor against Charleston Southern in her first-ever Big South game on Saturday. She was 4-of-5 from behind the three-point arc against the Buccaneers, while adding six rebounds and tying a season high with two blocked shots.

On the season, Frazee is averaging 19.2 points and 9.9 rebounds per game, which ranks 37th and 25th in the nation, respectively.

Frazee was also named Big South Player of the Week on December 5th after she was named the MVP at the N.C. State Tournament, while she has also been named Big South Freshman of the Week twice (Nov. 28 and Dec. 19).

Frazee and the Lady Flames return to Big South Conference action tonight when they host Coastal Carolina at 7 p.m. in the Vines Center.

It is amazing to hear about what these girls have done so far in their playing careers. Hopefully they can give us another run past the NCAA 1st round.

It sounds like Moriah & Molly are going to get more opportunities show what they can do for awhile. They both showed signs of delivering on that promise after Megan went down.
