Well folks for the second time in 3 years, Liberty and High Point meet in a Big South basketball championship game. 2 years ago the Liberty and High Point men got together and Liberty had a performance for the ages after two very close wins in the first 2 rounds.
High Point advanced after a knock down drag out 65-61 victory over Coastal Carolina, Liberty advanced with their 27th consecutive conference tournament victory 53-45 over a very game Winthrop Eagles team.
Liberty and High Point split the two regular season meetings. High Point got the win in the Millis Center down in High Point 64-55. Liberty returned the favor 62-53 in the Vines.
The game will be on FSN South and CSN Mid Atlantic at 2 PM ET.

Interesting Game. ODU is probably the only school with a longer conference winning streak.

This is terrible. I have never seen them play this poorly. Coach Green has some work to do at the half.

The female anchor is Brooke Weisbrod and after a quick google search she was a player at Coastal Carolina several years ago.

The game and the announcing crew are looking prettier by the minute. The Flamettes have caught fire with an early run of their own to go up bu 3.

we're only up by 3 w/ less than 12 min to play. Both teams shooting poorly- less than 40% from the field but if we could figure out how to convert FTs (6/14 is VERY unlike this team) we'd be up by at least 10.

at least we're controlling the boards today- but 14 TO's (compared to their 8) is not good. Way too sloppy for the Big Dance, anyway.

both teams missing layups? we commit yet another TO and HPU responds w/ a 3 pointer off it to tie it up at 39 all w/ 9 and change left to play. AAARGH!

Roli comes alive and we're up by 2, then commits a fouls- HPU calls time w/ 7 1/2 to play.

Huge 3 by HP. They haven't scored in a while except from our fouls shots until that 3.
