Winthrop gave us some troubles at the end of the regular season so they can't be dismissed out of hand. This should be another solid matchup in the semis.

Yeah, they are, Id say of it wasn't Carey Green, Id of wanted Bud Childers as Coach of the Year for the job he has done. Liberty needs to really get out fast and they should with many of the starters resting. This one should be fairly close

WU 56
LU 64

The key will be the outside shooting of Fann, Rodd, and Carey...There won't be any easy baskets for WU inside, so if they can hit some threes, they'll make a game out of it...though I realize that LU doesn't allow any easy points anywhere on the court.

We haven't been blowing people out so I have feeling this game will be tight once again.

The Winthrop game will be interesting ...

A couple of quick observations from tonight:

* Charleston Southern is a completely different team with Keena Wicker on the floor. Had she been eligible all season, I think CSU would have won at least five or six conference games. She creates her own shots and presents mismatches because she can body up in the post and has a quick release outside. Liberty didn't play against her in the first two games, so there was some unfamiliarity. Not surprisingly, she scored 18 tonight.

* The Flames were a little flat, and they admitted as much afterward.

* Carey noted that the players who lifted them were the few veterans they have ... Michelle Parker, KP, Allyson. Egle even played some solid minutes. I think this game will be a lesson for the youngsters who had never played in a college postseason game until tonight. Charleston Southern brought a lot of heart to the floor, and it took LU a while to match it.

* I think those areas will be addressed, and you'll see a different team Friday against Winthrop. I'm not predicting a blowout or anything, but I think the Flames will play with much more purpose Friday.

question: regardless of the respect the selection comm. has for our program after last year...when you look at the UNC & Florida game it really puts the teams ability to compete with the top teams into question even though the last I checked we were 44 in the RPI....I just don't think we'll be breaking new ground having the best seed ever...where do you guys think we'll be seeded

Liberty led the Florida game by double-digits in the second half before falling apart.

And North Carolina's beaten Duke twice. When Liberty played UNC, it was the second game of the season with a brand new Flames group against a veteran UNC team that happens to be the best team in the country on their home floor. Kind of hard to give that game any creedence whatsoever.

As long as LU plays High Point in the final (would earn the Flames another top 100 win), the Flames will be seeded no worse than 13th and maybe as high as 12th.

If we win the Big South Championship again, regardless of who the opponent is I think Liberty will get a 12 seed. Top 40 RPI and 25 wins make it tough to put them at a 14-16. That is not fair to the 3 seed that would have to match up with them. Although without Megan, I don't see this team going back to the Sweet 16. Scoring points has been an area where we struggle and we are not gonna hold a good tournament highly seeded team to 46 points. Of course I am hoping they go very far as I love this team but assessing it as an analyst I would have to say an upset would be tough as it has been every year.

from the stats, we're being outrebounded- but thanks to WU shooting 27% from the floor- we're still ahead.

Moriah w/ another FT, about 1 minute to play and we're up by 6.
