Whitney Lindsay

5'7 Guard from Ohio (St. Peters High School in Mansfield Ohio)

Averaged 20.6 points per game her Senior season this past year

She was here on a visit a few days ago. From what i heard she really liked this school and she wants to play at a Christian School. From what i know it is between LU and Manhattan.

She is a very quick guard and to Smooth and SCAR and Me she is a sista. Something that this team really needs so we will see what happens over the next few days or so.

Accomplishments:

It's not often that a basketball player the likes of Whitney Lindsey leaves their senior season of competition with as many marks as Whitney has left behind. Let's just recap this unbelievable four-year season!

I thought we were supossed to be recruiting more bigs? 5'7" isn't a big unless you're in 9-10 year old rec league.

Do you know if she plays point or 2? We could use a good point when Alison is gone.

i think she can play either the 1 or the 2.

It looks like you're right. Playing a one she would have to focus on distributing the ball and getting assists, playing a two she could focus on scoring for her team, which it looks like she did both according to her stats.

This girl looks like exactly what we need. I don't know why we would be looking for bigs in the 07 class. We are bringing back lot's of size in the Frazees and Egle, and have already signed a 6' 4" post player. We regularly dominated our opponents on the boards last year and lost games due to excessive turnovers, which IMHO were a result of a lack of quickness/athleticism and ball handling (in addition to general sloppiness and what appeared at times to be an almost lacksidasical attitude).

And back on topic, if she's looking for a Christian school, then this is the best place for her. I think that in the area of women's sports, Christianity helps us land better recruits than what a mid-major should be able to get. Not quite the same scenario on the men's side though :?
