Scout Profile - 3 Star rating

Site that has Jessica Rated 25th Overall Nationally in Class of 2008

We brought Jessica's name up about a year ago a couple of times as someone on our radar out on the west coast. Recent developments have brought her name up once again as someone to watch. She has bigtime suitors and has stated that Stanford is her first choice. She sat out this past season after an ACL tear.

DO transfers to LU and JO follows her big brother. That would be HUGE.

In more ways than one.

Jessica alone would be a huge coup for the school. We were talking about here long before any family members came on our radar.

Yes, and couple that with having Stanford as her current #1 choice, this girl will obviously be looking at more than just basketball in choosing her school.

Jeanne Falwell has done pretty well for herself in the medical field after doing her undergrad at LU.

I sat next to her in one class an entire semester and had no idea who she was. Jonathan was much easier to identify.

My mom actually worked with her for a couple of years.

Sam Gado was pre-med.
Sam Gado was also in the HONORS PROGRAM at LU, and he was not the only athlete to do so, as was Rob Attaway. And the biology majors at LU score in the 97th percentile on their standardized testing :!:

I'm sure coaches Green & Sherrard will make her aware of these things, but it wouldn't hurt if this young lady got the opportunity to hear first hand from the likes of Jeannie Falwell and Katie Feenstra how they were able to achieve their respective goals at LU.

Must be a dominant team in that conference. Her and her mates are holding down 14 out of 18 of the top 3 in 6 statistical categories.

Lived in Redding many years ago, you know before cars and paved roads, my guess is that the conference she is playing in is not too tough. I think I read where she is playing AAU ball for a Seattle team, which may say something.
Gordon Luff (Ist Youth Director at TRBC and Professor at LU) now lives in Redding and probably has a relationship with the school. Don't know if that would be of any help, but he is a good salesman.

i was talking with jdub...

it would almost seem that regardless of the strength of the conference, if she was at the top of the robound, points scored, and blocks category... she's a little dominant. i know my conference was no big deal back in high school, but if there was anyone (guy or girl) putting up numbers like that, they were being recruited by a few different schools.
