We close out the year battling for the #2 seed
Haven't checked the standings yet so I may be wrong (wouldn't be the first time), but it looks like we'll avoid Asheville and/or High Point until the final.

Hopefully if we win this one it will give us momentum into the tourney, and we all know we need that.

We need a win Saturday for 2 reasons
1) To gain momentum going into the tourney
2) THe last time LU lost 3 games or more in the Big South was the 1996-1997 season (the last time we did not win the Big South tournament title)

96-97 was actually the first year we won. We lost to UNG twice, Asheville, Winthrop and CSU but then upset UNCG in the championship.

Thanks for the correct FSN...I must have misread the media guide (where I got that information) and thought we didn't win it that year. Either way, its been a while since we even lost that many games.

One minute 'til game time: anybody going to listen to it on the radio during halftime of the VMI-Winthrop game? In fact, the fans at Winthop are so loud that you can't even hear the announcers. It's like having 5,000 SJ's in the arena at once!

I didn't hear it or anything, but I am guessing something the along the lines of "we will find the best candidate for the job"
with that said, what the bloody (word out of the liberty way) is wrong with this team...its one thing losing...but a whole other losing like this

it seems to me we are just distracted...its no secret there are some things going on behind the scenes and it is effecting this team...but I really didn't expect it to effect the team like this...

I blame ESPN: once they began doing features on us, we fell apart. The same thing happened to Radford in the "Too Good for its Conference" feature in the 96-97 season (the year our reign began).

yeah, i have felt the media coverage has hurt the team for a while now...I think I have mentioned it from time to time on here....
FREAKING ESPN STRIKES AGAIN!!!
