Player's pic taken at the
beach--that's got to be a great recruiting tool.

It certainly doesn't hurt. CCU certainly plays that up to the hilt.

Not too concerned here, but then again, I wasn't that concerned about Coastal either.
I'm sorry (in advance)

That is hillarious! I'll be looking for her on the floor, just so I can laugh (and crave a cheese burger and fries)!

I've ended up sitting in the Vines to work on something, so I have a front seat for the game tonight. I can only halfway pay attention, but it's better than being in the office.

3:37 left in the first half and we are up 30-13. Started out 0-6 but lately getting some turnovers and shooting fairly well right now. Big edge in rebounding which is expected.

I had to leave the game and go back to the office.

Right now 82-34 with about 3 minutes to go. Nice to know that the team still has that killer instinct to put teams away kind of like we are used to seeing vs weaker Big South teams.

It's over now 91-40. Very impressive performance by everyone who played. I expect a tougher game this Saturday (senior night).

At least they are back in their rythm. Beautiful passing equals beautiful basketball! Oh, and Radford just lost tonight so now we are only tied for first with Highpoint.

tonight the team played liberty basketball. They were aggressive and physical on defense and on the boards. The team ran the floor really well and i thought we wore down CSU. The first 6 minutes was not liberty basketball (couldn't hit shots and lacked some energy) but the rest of the game was Liberty basketball. The intensity was great from what i saw tonight on the floor.

Actually, LU is a half game ahead of High Point. For now, at least. LU 9-2, HPU 8-2.

What was funny for me was I remember a ball go flying toward press row and it almost knocked poor Ray Jones out of his chair
A couple of other not so funny things Id like to note
1) The attendance...844...844!!! EIGHT HUNDRED AND FORTY-FOUR PEOPLE CAME TO WATCH ONE OF THE MOST DOMINANT TEAMS ON CAMPUS! THAT IS JUST PLAIN SAD!
2) You notice how LU responds after a close game (win or lose)? Check it out:

Charlottesville, Va. W (75-71)

5 of their last 6 games following a win or loss of 10 points or less have resulted in wins of 10 points or greater (6 of their last 7 if you factor in following the 8 point loss to GW with a 17 point win over Virginia Union)...these girls know how to bounce back...

congrats to the ladies on a win that sounds like it was very well executed.
Its just as important to win the ones you SHOULD win.

BJ ... would be a nice stat, but all of those bounceback games were against teams that flat-out suck.

No, Scar, the Blimp is still stuck on the dome's ceiling, like a little kid's balloon that got away at the circus. Rumor has it the the LU ROTC or LUPD will have to come in with a sharp shooter to bring it down. If they can't hit it from 120 feet, we'll call in the VMI firing squad to bring our blimp back to earth.
