Chattanooga

We lose 71-54, did not play well. Went thru a 9 minute scoreless stretch early in game with 8 TO, 4 missed shots and 2 missed FT.
We need 1 more dynamic scorer in lineup.

UTC is good, but not the UTC of old. This outcome, especially at home, surprised me a little.

Yes, probably. Granted we need to "clean up" some other facets of the game. Turnovers, rebounding and defense.

We only out-rebounded them by 2, which is below par for us. On the other hand, we only had one more turnover than them, which is way better than usual. They outscored us by 24 points from 3, and that was the difference in the game. We have some shooters, but they didn't get it done.

I read that Chattanooga had a lot of offensive rebounds.

Their shooters were wide open continually for 3s. UTC played better/tougher M-M D and forced us to dribble around the perimeter, take contested shots, and/or drives to the hoop that we missed consistently or were called for a charge, at least 3-4 times. Lytle now 3-20 shooting 3s. We're a different/better team when Green is on the floor. Got to get her going and get her to stop committing so many fouls.

I have always maintained there are 5 things a team must do to win:
Don't turn ball over
Make Free Throws
Make layups
Rebound
Play defense

Fixed it
