I agree. I think having beaten them once takes some of the "wow" factor out of it. But we do know two things: 1 - They won't take us lightly this time 2- Some may not remember that glorious nite so there won't be the "revenge" factor. We SHOULD own the state of VA in women's hoops this year and next. (That INCLUDES ODU)

It appears that 2 UVa players have left the team for undisclosed reasons. Takisha Granberry and Denseha Kenion.

are we playing ODU anytime soon? or were you making a prediction on ODU's season? or none of the above? Hopefully we will hand it to UVA this Monday. I will be at the game.

I doubt we'll see ODU on our schedule anytime soon...

i do not know why everyone is so quick to think we beat UVA tomm...i know we are good , but UVA returns a lot of talent as well, but the loss of granberry and kenion will hurt. im sure it will be a good game though....and of course im pulling for the flames!!

I hope/think we'll win, but I would not be surprised at this game being an L for us...UVA did beat ODU by 20, and ODU is definitely a well-respected program. The last time we played UVA up there we lost by 8...and that was the season we went to the Sweet 16.

I don't think its a foregone conclusion by any means. I was just stating I feel better about our women going into Charlottesville than I have about any other team recently. This is a winnable game even though they are a good team.

if we hold on to the ball, play defense, and rebound then we have a great chance to win. we have to score too :P

Sorry GMTM but Smoothie and I are too important at work to get away  Seriously though I have a ton of stuff to take care of and Smoothie is short handed down there in Roanoke. Logistics prevent us from making the trip to Charlottesville like I told you but hold it down because I will be tuned in. Hopefully you and FSN will get to witness history tonight. The last time I had plans to go to Charlottesville and missed out was when our Men's team won in 98! I was supposed to work the game with Dr. Edwards. He let me cut my teeth that year with him in a few games (I am very greatful to him for that too), but I couldn't get away from work in time to get up there. Deja Vu anyone? I say we get it done tonight! Go Lady Flames!!!!!
