2006-2007 Women's Basketball Sesaon Outlook,

2006-2007 Columbia Union College Women Basketball has taken on a new attitude this season. Head Coach Todd Fong in his 2nd year, has placed a new emphasis on defensive pressure. The Lady Pioneers thrive on turnovers and make opponents pay for their mistakes.

Junior guard Jada Richardson (Silver Spring, MD) lead the CUC attack last season. Richardson lead the squad in scoring at sixteen points per contest and was nominated for player of the week by the USCAA three times. CUC returns at least two other starter from last year’s squad and an influx of talented transfers and freshmen. This season Columbia Union College Lady Pioneers plan to content for a USCAA tournament bid.

Here’s a brief look at the top returners and newcomers this season.

Returners:G Lisa Brewer (Bowie, MD),G Tiffani Clarke (Silver Spring, MD), C Melanie Gordon (Baltimore, MD),G Jada Richardson (Silver Spring, MD)

Newcomers: G Jeaneen White (Washington DC), C Naria Powell (Capital Heights, MD), Megan Boggess (Hedgeville, WV), Kyayla Harrison (Rockville, MD)
Here is their best player:

The spread of this game will be at least double that of our men's game with OU.

I will take that bet. I say the if you double the margin the men lose by will be more than the amount the women win by. Diet Coke?

14-0 in the early going. I am watching the video on the Liberty Channel and it looks like they are playing a high school team.

Live stats are jacked up. I guess I will tune in. Seems like every hoops game they can't get the stats working on time.

The Frazee's don't make it easy on anyone. If their numbers were 7, 24, and 32 it'd be easy but no, they're 40, 41, and 42.
