Looking forward to it. It will be a nice tune-up for me before going on TV for the Men's games. I can't wait to see Meagan Frazee back in action! Hopefully we will have a decent turnout with a Men's basketball exhibition as a lead in.

Men's game is the opener for the women's game. We know where the priorities are at LU.

Don't know if you were being sarcastic or not, SJ. But, yes, the priority is on the men's. They've had countless doubleheaders before and the women's is always first. It's because the men's is an exhibition.

it is sad that the women's program doesn't get more fan support. Putting the fact that men's is more exciting to watch out of the equation, they deserve the larger fan base.

Dickens, I agree with you. It is a shame that we have a nationally ranked team in our school and they average less than 1100 people a night. 3-6 should be the usual and a sell out when there is a big matchup. They play a great brand of ball and are fun to watch.

SCAR You and I both know a GREAT way to remedy the attendance situation. Maybe if we got a percentage from it it would be worth our time LOL

If its the same thing that everybody keeps sayin on the men's side, the women have had that covered for the last umpteen or so years and they still draw barely over a thousand a game

In '98 when they were 28-0 they averaged near 5,000 a game and during that year was when they set BSC records for crowds, but that was the second year that they has won and it was new and exciting to have a winning team. Maybe SCAR and the gang can add to this but the conference games have been exciting for true fans but we as in other topics have not had the big name teams come to L'burg. Other than the UVA game we haven't won any big games at home to really draw fans. Most of that is scheduling and not being able to get those big teams to come here and partly due to complacent fans that are just not interested during the regular season. There just is not much draw in watching our girls beat Ch. Southern again by 40. Anybody agree or disagree?

I think it is fun to go to the women's games but I am a basketball junkie. I have tickets to see Richmond/East Carolina on Tuesday (men) and I plan on catching a lot of A-10 and CAA action in men's and women's while I am working here in Richmond. That said, I don't think people care that much about women's hoops in Lynchburg and many other places. Sure there are your schools that sell out big arenas like UConn and Tenn and even Michigan St but then there are many mid major teams like ours that people take for granted. I am not sure if we averaged 5000 per game but back in the 28-0 season but I know we had good crowds back then. There were games where we had 5 K but I think the average was skewed down a bit by some of the games over Christmas break and earlier in the year. I will have to check the stats on the attendance for that time. Our program was not respected then like it is now nationally either. We had a perfect season and got the 64th seed in the tournament and had to play 28-0 Tennessee! That is disrespectful. We won all those games and the truth is we could have lost every reg season game and won the 3 games (we only played 2 then because we got a bye due to all the new teams in the conference not being tourney eligible) in the bs tourney and got the exact same seeding! I think Jeff Barber and company will market this team well this season and we should see an improvement in attendance. We will see starting tomorrow. Don't forget to tune into FTN for TV or 90.9 if you want to hear me and GMTM on the call.

This year's womans team is going to be extremely fun to watch. We have a lot of really good players who can contribute in a lot of ways. Getting the Frazee's all on the court at once is going to be a treat in itself.

We almost set the NCAA record for most assists in a game.

Only 1632 fans. Disappointing (OK, I am one who left towards the end of the men's game)--but you would think more students would show, or more would have stayed from the men's exhibition. Perhaps our womens team is becoming like the Braves, where, until this year, winning had become "ho-hum" and their attendance dropped, too.

no I think it's just women's basketball in general is ho-hum to a lot of people. Maybe it's an aquired taste that people don't take the time to develop.

nice win by the ladies. coach green said in the pre-game that complacency will be the teams biggest problem this year.

Nice Win, i was at the game and had a great time...It's hard not to be impressed by all 3 of those Frazee girls just unfair to have 3 of them on one team! On another note i came away very impressed with how well Lala passes the ball, her and megan are great passers for their size
