Played without Shaquilla Nunn all year - preseason first team all conference. We should win but . . . .

What a brutal schedule they've played!

It says quite a bit about the state of WU athletics to have them go full bore on the guarantees.

Lady Flames feast on 3s, finishing with 11 (on 22 attempts) to win 77-61

Started Brooke Alexander at guard. She has the best A/TO ratio on the team and the only won who has more assists than TOs. Her last two games (combined 32 minutes) she has 8 assists and 1 TO. Good move but took too long. Good first 15 minutes with a strong defensive effort. Different from the "matador" defense against PC where we gave up @ 10 uncontested drive layups. Need to take this defense on the road as well (per RMK).

Shows how spoiled we are when we go 4-1 without the preseason POY and are worried. I think we are fine this year. Lots of ???? going forward with all 3 bigs graduating and no size on the recruiting horizon. It looks like we are already making the transition to a more perimeter oriented team, but after over a decade of having dominant inside players, is Green too set in his ways to get results doing things differently?

I thought LU has already lost 2 BSC games this year?

We also lost to G-W with Rininger in the lineup.

No. The injury occurred during the Duke game.

The local paper talked about what a great rebounding force she was, but then in fine print later in the article it mentioned that she only had 2 rebounds. :dontgetit

As Chippy pointed out, Brookes main contribution seems to be the ability to make plays without turning it over. 6 assists vs 1 turnover against Winthrop. We'll take that.

With her height and more playing time, she'll get her share of rebounds. I see her as a 6' Emily Frazier. She may be the starting PG next year as Candace Leatherwood can be erratic at times and not sure about the talent level of the JC transfer coming in next year.

That article also answers the question of why KK Barbour, who was a prolific scorer in HS and our highest rated recruit, has not been playing. She has been injured, with a bone bruise on her knee. She got in against WU and went 2-3 from the floor.

When Rinninger is healthy we have 6 post players and only two positions. The 3 seniors will and have received the most playing time, especially when Rinninger gets back sometime in February.
