The reason I didn't post a game thread was because it was pointless until we knew who we would be playing. But if some wish to provide some general banter about the tourney then this is the place.

#7 seed Longwood and #10 seed Charleston Southern are in a dogfight right now with the Lancers leading by 2 65-63, just over a minute to go in the game. Shay Jones and Lakeitha Alston have been virtually all the offense for CSU

Longwood pulls away late and defeats Charleston Southern 70-63 in the first game of the day while Radford defeats UNC Asheville 56-39 and the Bulldogs go 0-the season against Big South teams. Radford will face off with Presbyterian on Friday while Longwood faces Winthrop. One game left and its the one that affects us.

We beat CCU 64-60. Neither host team makes it past their first game. Maybe Rick will have a trick or two up his sleeve to at least make y'all break a sweat Friday night.

Congrats on the win. GW certainly has a very young team and will be very good in a year or two. Have 7 or 8 freshmen and no seniors. Candace Brown was a McD AA nominee and lead the nation in scoring her senior year in HS and are redshirting a 6'5" girl who is pretty decent. They did something we didn't do - beat Presbyterian (also beat HPU once).

Nonetheless, LU wins Friday's game. We have 3 R-SRs who will not be denied.

Yes, I like our squad, especially Brown. The future is bright. I'd consider it a huge accomplishment to just play y'all within single digits Friday night.

Radford wins 41-38. That means either Longwood or Radford will be in the finals.

*UPSET ALERT*

#6 seed Radford knocks off #3 seed Presbyterian (and another favorite to challenge Liberty) 41-38. PC shoots 13/46 from the floor (4/9 from three point range). Radford didnt fare a whole lot better despite the victory, shooting 13/52 (1/7 from three). Radford shot 14/20 from the free throw line while PC shot 8/10. Radford outrebounded Presbyterian 48-29 and had an 11-6 advantage in second chance points. Radford goes on to play in the unlikeliest of semifinals against #7 Longwood on Saturday

is a 5 beating a 4 a real "upset"?

It is in the most basic sense...course now all three teams that could be a significant threat to Liberty winning the championship this weekend have ALL gone down, so as long as the ladies don't wet the bed tonight, they should have a pretty easy path to the title this weekend

Lady Flames lead 39-28 at halftime and as today has shown, we better be on our game to buck the upset trend today
