FINAL: Liberty 67 High Point 59
Lady Flames avenge one of their two conference losses. Tolu Omotola leads four in double figures with 22 points. Devon Brown adds 16 and needs 18 points to pass Kattie Mattera (Feenstra) for second on the all time scoring list. Ashley Rininger registered her third straight double figure game with 11 points and narrowly missed her third straight double double with 8 rebounds. LU won the turnover battle causing 19 turnovers while only allowing 15.

Good to see the girls pick themselves up off the mat and lock HPU down in the second half. Looks like they really keyed on Tremblay and Parker in the second half and though they got theirs, they had to work a lot harder to get their points

I was worried at half time but proud of this team coming out in the second half and getting the win.

What a great effort by the women today. They showed maturity and grit in the second half and just outplayed HPU from the beginning of the second half. Tolu was a beast and Ashley continues to get more minutes giving us a little more offensive punch. HPU was without 2 starters - Kendra Wallace on crutches and Erin Reynolds out for the year. Nonetheless, they'll be great competition in BSC tournament should we see them again. Looks like Winthrop is on a roll as well - we're both 9-2 and play them Feb 14.
