They beat us last year on their court and they're a better team this year with Nunn being the second coming of Cheyenne Parker (HPU - leading scorer and rebounder in the BSC). Winthrop already beat HPU but HPU was without their leading scorer Erin Reynolds (1st team all conference).

I wouldnt dismiss this as an automatic loss as you are seeming to Chippy. I really think that Choibekova is the one to keep an eye on over Nunn

Very funny...I mean that Choibekova will be the primarily player to game plan for...We have the players in the frontcourt to matchup with players like Nunn, the question is will we be able to keep up with all the shooters and keep them from getting a lot of good looks from outside

I don't think I see this as an automatic loss. I believe we can win. I'm just saying that WU beat us last year and now that have some height they didn't have last year. Nunn is putting up similar numbers (rebs, blks, and pts) that Cheyene Parker had when she was a frosh. Now Parker is currently POY in the BSC. Don't forget that besides Choibekova they have McClanahan who was preseason POY. This will be a real test for our team.

I like our bigs against their bigs Chippy. Rininger has a midrange touch that will force defenses to really pick their poison. Do you extend out and try to take away the mid-range and long range shooting and open up the middle for Jasmine, Tolu, and Katelyn or do you pack it down and hope we have an off night from the outside?

66-42 LU. Hot shooting by Devon Brown, Brit Campbell, and Kat Adams have held off a Winthrop run. If they hold on this would be a good win.

90-57. Very impressive performance from LU. Devon with a career high of 32. Tolu and Brittany with career highs as well.

Yes they are. I am very surprised at the margin of victory. Winthrop plays a very nice schedule.

So glad to see Brittany playing well, or even being able to play, for that matter. She's a class act. She gave one of the best graduation speeches I've heard when she graduated with my daughter from Brookville.

I thought it was funny that some were considering us the underdogs. We could easily go undefeated in BS play. Of course, we could also have a bonehead loss, as well.

NC A&T

The last time we went undefeated was when Katie Feenstra was in uniform, 2004 or 2005. At Winthrop we "held" McClanahan to 27 and Choibekova to 17 but the rest of the team did nothing. We played outstanding defense and Nunn, their 6'3" center took herself out of the game early with fouls. This is the best I've seen us play both O and D simultaneously since Iv'e been following them for 8 years now. Unless Erin Reynolds returns for HPU and/or Denar Erwin Spencer returns for Radford (we beat by 2 points with her playing) we should do okay.

Both of them are what I call "volume shooters". McClanahan got most of her points on free throws and on two pointers, and Choibekova (who I think she set some sort of record for three pointers in a game at her previous school) wasnt getting the kind of quality she normally gets. For some reason she has some of the lowest shooting numbers when Liberty and Winthrop get together (she shot 41 percent in the win last year but it was on 17 shots)

NC A&T
We all have stinkers. I wouldn't be surprised if we dropped a game but wouldn't be surprised if we won them all. This IS the Big South after all.

I am with PH...I was going to say that NC A&T wasnt a conference game but I wouldnt be surprised if somebody caught lightning in a bottle and ended up beating us.
