Kindish. I mean they're probably #3 in the Big South, but it's still the Big South...

Campbell appeared to be a well coached and good shooting team. They're not very athletic or quick which allowed us to play a lot of man to man in the second half. This created a number of TOs and really kept them off the scoreboard for long stretches. I'd like to see some more of this in the future . . . except when the other team has quick guards who can penetrate . . Campbell lacked that. The man to man had the girls play with just a little more intensity. It's just a nice change of pace from the 2-3 or even the 1-3-1. A good overall game by anyone's standard

Good to see about 8 members of the men's team in attendance. Maybe they were trying to pick up some pointers on how to win a Big South game.

Ouch
CHIPPY athleticism has always been an issue in our back court. Look at the back court of the teams we have beat and the teams we lost too. You will see a pattern. This is why we play zone. Nothing wrong with zone. Seems to work for Syracuse and did pretty well for Chaney.

Yes, I agree about the athleticism. Syracuse has both long and quick guards as does Chaney with his 1-3-1. The difference he doesn't put his diminutive PG on the baseline like we do (Reagan and Fasnacht in past). Devon Brown is so much better suited to play that position as she can move and rebound once there is penetration. When opposing teams penetrate our 1-3-1 Reagan is helpless back there and she lacks the quickness to run the baseline and is not going to outrebound anybody. I like the idea of M to M periodically even one possession at a time just to get the girls use to
moving and when we get into the 2-3 and to give the opponent something to think about. Devon and Reagan do okay on top in the 2-3 but we're not as aggressive on the wings and we gave up too many foul line jump shots in the 2-3 that can be passive at times. Too many shots go unchallenged.
