A couple nuggets going into this game (one thanks to our resident scribe): Liberty is 38-0 when playing as the higher seed in the Big South Tournament...and 13-0 in the Big South Championship game having beaten UNC Greensboro, Radford (2x), UNC Asheville (2x), Elon, Gardner-Webb (2x), High Point (2x), Birmingham Southern and Coastal Carolina (2x)

Maybe the third time will be the charm for my alma mater? :dontgetit

Pretty simple, we've got to keep the game in the 50's or 60's to have any shot whatsoever, if LU pushes tempo up into the 70's, forget it.

Hope for a good one.

Not to pick on you but historic stats mean absolutely nothing.

Watching the winthrop gwb game, I like our chances if we play smart basketball. We don't, and it will be enough to seal our fate.

You do realize that you basically invalidate the first half of your point by doing exactly what you said you dont mean to in the second half.

History does play somewhat of a role. G-W may have beaten LU in the regular season before but the seniors have to know in the back of their minds that theyve been here before and have not beaten the Lady Flames when it mattered most. Im not saying it gives us a license to play like crap, but I think that because of the fact that they have beaten the Bulldogs the last two years it does give somewhat of a psychological advantage.

No. It doesn't.

And for the record, the tipoff remains 4pm.

This is correct. MASN still has it at 2, but FCS has it as 4 as well. I'm not sure if there's some issue with MASN but good thing I have FCS just in case...

It's definitely 4. Catching Duke-UNC first before heading over to Millis. Not a bad day of hoops.

Lang's fishwrap is killing me. First it lists 4:00 and then today's paper lists it as 2:00, so I canceled my trip due to church obligations, and now I'm home at 1:15 and I hear on FF that the game is back to 4:00.
:banghead

Was it listed as 2 p.m. in the TV listings? Unfortunately, those are typed in off of whatever is on the program guides we're given. And MASN can't seem to get it right. I had it listed at 4 in the story I sent in.

Right, Chris, the TV program guide in the sports page of the paper listed it as a 2:00 MASN game.

We lead 4 to 2 with 16 remaining.

We're leading, but right now we're doing everything that gardner webb needs to win.

I mean I am all for winning the game and stuff, but who the heck is the lady with Matt? I can't tell if she is more in love with Jelena or with Coach Green. Apparently, Coach Green has had job offers with "Major University's" that he has turned down and Jelena would be the BST MVP if it weren't for Avery. WTH!?!? It would be refreshing to hear Matt criticize the officials some!! Plus, I don't think she has put together that Rick coached at LU and started this great run!
Also, Rick better watch what he says to Carla Fountain...I've met her and she could kick his butt!!

No way a GW player should be driving in for baskets against a zone, period.
