If anybody is still in town, several of us are going to meet over at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game at 4:00. Please join us! Play Basketball

(On a side note, we can also watch/cheer/boo SC who will be playing at 3:00 on a nearby screen).

Any status update on Devon? Obviously, I want her to play, but more importantly, I am just hoping she had a good night and is feeling better.

I can't ever possibly root for tech... ever.

Substitute the word "Duke" for "Tech" and you've got my position - even before SC. My issue is that for years, they would come to Philly to play Temple but refused to play on Temple's campus, even though Temple has a beautiful basketball facility. The "stated" reason was that they wanted to draw more fans (18,000 at the Sixers' arena vs. 10,000 on campus). Of course, the mix of fans was significantly altered by moving the game, so it was pretty much a Duke home game.
Now that I am at LU, my feeling is that if SC was going to leave us/ditch us/go for an opportunity to play for a better program (whatever one's position on it may be), it might as well have been to Duke because I don't respect them anyway. I don't waste any energy hating them, but I just never have (and won't ever) root for them. If you're in the Top 5 every year stocked with McDonald's All Americans, and you can't play a mid-major, border-line Top 25 team (with no top players) on campus, you're a coward.

Nick Pierce on the baseball broadcast seemed to think Devon was available to play today, or at least she wanted to play.

This team has as much talent as any we have had. They have lacked focus. It seems that for at least one game they found it today. If they can keep this up and get the win tomorrow, we may actually be able to do some damage in the tourney.

Lady Flames win 76-55 Avery Warley lands on 1000 points for her career with 28 to lead everybody. High Point finishes 6-22 from 3 and 5 blocks to 8 for Liberty, Cheyenne Parker (candidate for freshman of the year) finishes with 1 point, Liberty outrebounds the Panthers 47-29, and finishes with 12 TOs compared to 15 for HPU

I think Avery served notice on Cheyanne Parker that she is at least a year away from being the dominant post player in the conference everyone seems to think she will be.

It's amazing how good we can look when we don't throw the ball away and actually get some shots off. This is the best they've played all year. They beat a team that was averaging 91 points a game in the last 2 games and were playing on their home court. Hope they can duplicate this tomorrow against GW.
