We sure are racking up the turnovers this game. We should be blowing teams like Radford out.

I don't know which is more painful to watch. The careless turnovers or the wide-open missed layups.

Radford just tied it up with that 3 50-50.

We have thrown away a 15 point second half lead and trail 52-50.

I think that we are in serious trouble now. A complete meltdown.

No offensive but Radford is at least the 3rd best team in the league.

Radford 62-53 final.
Highlanders outscored the Flames 31-9 in the final 13 minutes.

Sad... at one point the girls were up 44-30. They proceeded to get outscored 22-6. Rarely do these girls fall apart, but in the last 8 minutes, they did. The turnovers were absolutely ridiculous and the team, in the final 8 minutes, would likely have lost to any Big South team. Now the first ten minutes of the second half was pretty good, and I thought we might end up blowing them out.

That was one of the worst losses I've seen by our Ladies. Carey Green was a caracature of himself. The game is going down the toilet and he sits there and shakes his head. I know it's not his style to yell and scream a lot, but at some point you have to do something to wake the team up.
Radford played extremely well down the stretch, but it was only close because of our complacency and sloppiness from about 3 minutes into the second half on.

Coach Green: Just keep passing the ball! Something's bound to happen!!!
And I thought we had fixed these issues. Guess I was wrong. This game shows the NC Central game was no fluke.

The last 8 minutes was not a pretty sight (and believe me I was there), but Im still not ready to give up the ship (unlike some people it seems). My friend who plays for the Highs was out with a knee injury so I didnt get to see her play, but hopefully she'll be better for the turnaround game. We gotta look to the Lady Bucs and their three point shooting barrage now...dwelling on this one isnt gonna do any good.

I am not ready to give up either but these bad losses are killing us. Col of Charleson, UNC Central, and now Radford. We will probably get a 15 seed in the tourney if in fact we do make it. The last several years have shown that we do very well after losses like this.

I don't ever remembering losses like this. Narrow the bench and play your best 8-9 players. Work on consistency and substitution patterns and the turnovers will be cut in half. We really lack aggressiveness (and quickness). Radford lacks talent but makes up for it in aggressiveness. Our achilles heel is now fully exposed. I look for more teams to press in the future and not get into a half court game where LU dominates with its size.

Coach Green said our girls had over 20 turnovers in the 2nd half alone and so many missed layups cost us in the end.
And there was an RD sighting at the game.

this is what...our second home loss in five years (in conference)?
Oh and here is an interesting nugget...when we lost to HPU in 2004 we lost 62-53...the very next game we won by 53 points. Im not saying we are going to beat CSU by that much but Im not expecting a loss here...
Also, If memory serves me correctly, we have NEVER lost back to back home games in conference under Coach Green...

I'm not calling for Coach Green's head, but first I must say "Never" means nothing. It can happen. Also I'd submit if we get in the tourney (and right now I doubt it) we'd be a 16, especially with that loss to NC Central. Maybe a 15 by name recognition.
I guess all that matters now is the conference tourney. But then again, that's all that ever matters.
