Should be a good game. They are 3-11 so we should win. They have lost to teams that we have beaten.

she is the daughter of the oft mentioned (on this board at least) Randy Dunton, former LU basketball coach (usually referred to as RD)

After trailing by 1 at the half, we are up 59-49 with 13 minutes to play. Devon has 20 points in 22 minutes. Avery has a double double with 13 and 10.

This game was Longwood's "Super Bowl" as Jamie I think indicated at some point in the broadcast and it doesnt surprise me that this game ended up being a dogfight. Good to see the ladies come out on top

LU pulls it out with a key 3 pointer in the closing seconds by Devon. We had a fairly comfortable lead and then Longwood got red hot with the 3 ball and lead and we pull it out. Nice to pull that one out on the road.

Regarding Emilee Dunton, it appears she started the game (it was her first start of the year), played 2 minutes and did not return.

Longwood was raining 3's. Though coach stayed in the 2-3 too long. It wopuld have been nice to see some variation in defense, like a man to man to make them work harder for the outside shot and to take them out of their comfort zone. They did not have the best ball handlers but boy could they shoot. Again, should have gone man to man once they easily beat the traps. IMHO Had almost as many LU fans as Longwood fans. Nonetheless a great game. All had contributions with devon spearheading the offense.

Lang's article (though I'm not a big fan of the title):
Liberty women barely get past rapidly improving Longwood
By Chris Lang

Devon Brown didn’t need the coaching staff to tell her the obvious at halftime Friday night at Longwood. Liberty’s leading scorer just looked off. She missed easy layups and rushed shots, and her halftime line wasn’t pretty — 2-for-9 from the floor, 6 points.
"I had to get myself under control and stay balanced," Brown said after the Flames’ 75-71 win over a rapidly improving Longwood team at Willett Hall. "In the second half, I had to jump, stop and balance myself when I took my layups."

LUconn, I woke up at 5:00 and waited an hour to post so it would be a more respectable time.
