Unfortunately, I have obligations in Lynchburg, and can't go regardless. I have to admit, being able to watch it on TV makes it easier to get lazy about going to the time and expense of traveling.
This would be a tricky one to set up for a large group. You really don't want to plan on losing Saturday and driving right back, and if we win the first game and want to stay for the second, accomodations would be needed. We would almost have to plan on being there through Monday's game, with accomodations for Saturday and Sunday night, and then ride back right after the game Monday. If we lost Saturday, more than likely cancel the rest of the plans and head back. It's the type of situation that lends itself better to the flexibility of carpooling in smaller groups.
If there's no bus trip planned, I think Flame Convert and I will be watching the game from Buffalo Wild Wings in Lynchburg.
Fortunately, ESPN 2 will be broadcasting the game. Wings and March Madness just seem to go together! Are there any other Flames Fans in town that would like to join us there?
Didn't the LU women beat Kentucky back in '98 or something like that. It would be a neat fact that I would hope the ESPN people will bring up again after we win this time.

I remember listening to that game on the radio. We shot something like 19-19 from the foul line. and won by about 4. The next year they beat us in the Vines in another fairly close game.

The women's team plays in Memorial Coliseum. They only play in Rupp Arena when they expect unusually large crowds, like when Tennessee comes to town. I doubt Liberty drew a crowd large enough to overflow 8,500-seat Memorial Coliseum to warrant moving the game to Rupp.
Looks like they are loosy-goosy, which is great. Kinda crappy that they got stuck practicing in a high school gym, you figure U of L would allow use of their facilities, including Freedom Hall, for practice.
FYI....we crapped out in the WNIT to UNCC last night, 74-60. Roundtree didn't even score in the game until 20 seconds left. We took 21 more shots than UNCC in the game, couldn't hit the broad side of ten barns, much less one.
Good luck tomorrow against UK.....hopefully they are as loose as they are on the video...I think that will bode well if they are.
That sounds like fun ~ hubby and I would so be there but instead will be going to a wedding during the same time. What's the best way to keep track of the game on a blackberry???
