LU (7-3, 0-0 BSC) vs. G-W (11-2, 0-0 BSC) in Boiling Springs @ 3:00.

G-W has already beaten Purdue this year. Game will be on 90.9 radio.
The Game
Liberty (7-3, 0-0 Big South) will open defense of its Big South Conference title Saturday at 3 p.m., when the Lady Flames travel to Gardner-Webb (11-2, 0-0 Big South). The matinee at Paul Porter Arena is a rematch of the 2009 Big South Championship title game, which saw Liberty edge Gardner-Webb, 51-50.

Tied at the half. 29-29. We were at one point down by nine. :shock:

Also, at tad bit of foul trouble on both sides.

20 more minutes!!

After trailing by as much as 9 we tie it 29 all at the half. Avery and Kylee both sat out much of the half with fouls. Danika Dale leading scorer with 7 points in 8 minutes.

G-W never trailed today in an impressive outing. It won't surprise me in the least to see us both again in the tourney final at High Point in March.

Congrats to G=W on the win...its actually the first time LU has lost their conference opener since Carey Green's first season (1999-2000).

You know, it's ironic...if the men win, the women lose. Ironic. It's happened other times before.

G-W lost at home to Radford Monday night. That was Radford's first D1 win all season as they improve their record to 2-10.
