Hubby and I are headed to C'Ville on Monday and staying over until Wednesday. Looking forward to getting away, watching some Lady Flames action and eating out. Anybody know anything about "Ludwigs Schnietzel House" German restaurant? or any other place good to eat at?

I'm a huge fan of Wood's Grill on 29 North, next to the Toys R Us. Since you're going to be there for a few days, I'd definitely suggest visiting the outdoor mall in Charlottesville.
I'll be at the game today with Flame Convert. Oh, and there was
zero coverage about the LU game/UVa tournament in today's N&A. The last time I saw an LU ladies game at JPJ arena, Megan dropped 37 on the Cavs and won easily over the home team.
But at least the Charlottesville paper knows we're playing up there:

Virginia will open play against Samford tonight at 7 p.m. in a game that will be preceded by a 4:30 p.m. contest between Cornell and Liberty. The winners will play in the title game Tuesday night at 7 p.m. after the third-place game.

Am not familiar with C'Ville so where exactly is the outdoor mall? Is it close by JPJ Arena? Hubby can't do a lot of walking but we do want to try to enjoy our time away.
I noticed too that there's been no coverage on this tournament too. Maybe N&A is still away on a holiday. Hope the Ladies do just as well as they did last time they were there. We'll see you there!

No coverage? Not even the inside info box? I've been out of town on vacation for a week, but I e-mailed in an info box to run. Starting to really tick me off.

LAST MEETING: Cornell won 65-63 in the championship game of the Lafayette Holiday Tournament in 2003-04.
FAST BREAK: Liberty is playing for just the second time in 23 days after taking lengthy breaks first for exams and then for the holidays. The Flames will play twice in two days at the Marriott Cavalier Classic. Cornell is 4-3 against current Big South members, going 1-0 against Gardner-Webb and Winthrop, 1-1 against Liberty and 1-2 against Radford. Liberty is playing its fifth game against an Ivy League member. The Flames are also 0-1 against Harvard and 1-0 against Dartmouth. The winner of tonight’s game will likely face Virginia and Naismith and Wooden Award candidate Monica Wright. Liberty won its last meeting with the Cavaliers at JPJA, riding 37 points from Megan Frazee to the upset victory. Virginia plays Samford tonight in the other semifinal game.

It's downtown. Put hubby in the old theatre there for a movie, and you can shop for HOURS!

Lang, your paper is killing me: we're playing UVa in the
championship game of their tournament today, and the Lynchburg fishwrap again doesn't have an inside information box about the game.
If you're not too busy, could you please post another one of those info boxes on Flames Fan for this game?
Here's the article about the Cornell game on LibertyFlames.com:

We played very well. Cornell would finish in the top half of the Big South. It's nice to see Jelena play well.

Jim,
There was never a plan for an info box on that game, just one for the entire tournament on Monday. For one, I'm still on vacation (and will be until Saturday). Two, with the UVa game not ending until late, I wasn't going to sit around waiting to see who won that one to update the stats/info box. We're not going to ask the guys on the desk to have to handle that. They've got too much going on. Same will go for the men's tournament at UCF. Info box today, none tomorrow. That's just kind of reality with our staffing.

Thanks for the explanation, Lang. Here's what your competition has to say about the tourney:
Cavaliers outlast Bulldogs

Debbie Ryan took a poll before her team played for the first time in over a week. The Virginia women’s basketball coach wanted to know which players felt they deserved to start in the team’s opening game of the Cavalier Classic. Not one hand was lifted into the air.
At times Monday night, it was evident why. Yet Virginia managed to overcome the rust of a layoff and a barrage of 3-pointers from Samford, salvaging a 69-60 victory at John Paul Jones Arena in front of 3,134. With the win, the 23rd-ranked Cavaliers (8-3) advanced to face Liberty tonight at 7 p.m. in the title game of the four-team event. Unlike Virginia, the Flames had an easy go of it on Monday, dispatching Cornell 70-40 in the day’s opener.

We trail UVa, 33-29 at the half despite only 2 points in 7 minutes for Devon. Avery Warley leads us with 8.

33-29 UVA at half. We were up 28-22 with about 3 minutes to go, and they closed with a 11-1 run.
Avery Warley has 8pts and 3 rbs
Antic with 5 pts
Brown only has 2pts on 1-2 shooting. They must be forcing everyone else to beat them.

Devon Brown got into a little foul trouble early. Might be the reason for reduced playing time.

Coach Green pretty much will not play you with 2 fouls in the first half, and especially a young player (no matter how good).
