The fact that Northwestern got one as well is an example of how sketchy the coaches'poll can be at times. I mean, Gardner-Webb with 5?!

JMU's coach was the source of that vote.

Indeed, we love Kenny here. It's kind of ridiculous that we aren't in the Top 25 yet, I swear it's like women's basketball has their own secret society of "teams who can be ranked"

Congrats for just realizing this. Its not just some fan conspiracy; there literally is one that exists, and you're doomed if you're not appeasing to them.

From a media perspective, there are very few writers who are dedicated to covering women's basketball on a national level, even at the biggest metro papers. And very little in the way of highlights on ESPN or whatever to understand what's happening on a national scale across the country. I'm glad I don't vote in the women's poll, because I think I'd be pretty clueless.

It was a crime you weren't ranked before. Congrats!

Agreed but JMU has 4 impressive wins. I imagine they will stay top 25 in RPI all year.

As long as they don't dtumble in ocnference play .. that's always tricky. But I'm pulling for them. Their coaches are great, and that's a very solid program overall.

I'll be interested to see if G-W doesn't get a few more votes after pulling off that miracle at Purdue last night.....

Couple of them aren't bad to look at either.

One is from SoCon. That's a great conference, with some good lookin' assistants!

I looked up who that was. Even better than being from the SoCon, she's from Winston. Ledford High School was my favorite place to go in our conference. Hated the school. Loved the view.
