Hoover had no answer for GlenOak 6-foot-5 junior center Ashley Rininger, who is verbally committed to Liberty University. She scored 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting to go with eight rebounds and four blocked shots, but the Eagles seemed to forget about her during stretches of the second half. Senior guard Katie Cappello added 14 points and five rebounds. Kandace Thomas and Jalisa Johnson combined for 9 points and 13 rebounds.

Big girl's big night sinks Bulldog girls

Stow -- Sometimes in basketball, it just helps to be tall.

The Stow-Munroe Falls' girls team was on the wrong end of a big night from a big girl Dec. 22 against Canton GlenOak at home.

GlenOak's 6-foot-4.5 senior center Ashley Rininger put up a career-high 35 points and 18 rebounds against the Bulldogs.

Stow had no answer for the Liberty University recruit, as the Bulldogs dropped their first loss of the season 72-60.
