It's business as usual for LU womens hoops. I like how the way Amber Mays and Racheal Mcloud stepped it up today to take the pressure off Devon Brown. They beat a fairly good team in Tulane I think. They did beat LA Monroe by 35 a few days ago.

Down 32-24 at halftime. We're outrebounding Navy, but have 10 turnovers and have only made 3 of 6 FTs compared to Navy's 5 TOs and 8-11 FTs.

LU wins 55-43 with a great 2nd half turnaround. I believe at one time we were down 20-4 but we cut into that lead before half. In the second 2 quick 3's by Devon Brown and we seemed to take over after that. She had 19 points. Navy was 4-0

I remember hearing Coach Green say that we need to "think for a change," as in things have changed and will be a little different this year. It sounded as though he was communicating that the team might not meet the expectations that we've become accustomed to.
What a great and surprising start.

I am not sure if anyone out there is noticing but Tulane the team that we beat in the Navy Tournament is tied with no 11 LSU 59-59 after regulation and is going into overtime. If Tulane were to pull off the upset that would make our win all more significant.

I think he was saying that we were going to be playing a different brand of basketball than we have in the past few years. The team's more athletic than in the past and will probably play a little more uptempo.

I agree. We have been playing like we did when the Wilkerson twins were here.

Yes, I was alive. Also, my grandparents have an old video of a LU game they taped and the Wilkersons were on it. And yes, I watched the tape. It was the first BSC championship with Rick Reeves.
