LU #40 is a pleasure to watch play as Winthrop has no answer for her.
I'm watching a very talented and well coached LU team.

LU's defense has been impressive.

as usual, our ladies lack killer instinct and refuse to put the nail in the coffin. 18 point lead down to 9 with 8 minutes left

I agree with hurricane fan that a lack of "killer instinct" is a perrenial issue with our ladies. They (and their coach) are too doggone nice for their own good. Megan seems to be the exception to that rule, and that's a part of what makes her so good.

LU wins 61-42
But too many turnovers and we allowed too many drives to the defense. If we continue to play that way in the NCAA playoff it will be an early exit. We played sloppy at times

Final score:
LU 61
WU 42
Megan had a dominant performance with 28 points and 13 rebounds, playing all but the last few seconds of the game.

That last 5 minutes we woke up and played the kind of hoops we are capable of playing after a little bit of a scare early in the second half. Put on a rebounding clinic. Megan was outstanding and didn't get too much scoring support. Defense and rebounding was outstanding. I hope that we get High Point just to show that the last time we lost to them was a fluke.

Thanks WEF, you are always gracious in victory and defeat.
There is no one at the GW-HPU women's game, you would think there would be some HPU people there any way since it is their home court.

Must have been the camera angle but there were more people at the GW-HPU than the LU-W game. HPU had their band, cheerleaders, dancers and their pep band. Their student fan base wasn't there but they had a pretty good showing overall at least for that size court. We stayed until the half of the GW-HPU game.
My hubby and I came to HPU about two years ago and we're impressed by the whole campus and still are. It's growing and very classy looking. I like the pond/water fountain there in the middle. We saw a couple of hammocks set up by the pond....wish we had something like that
