This is going to be a fun game. Is it true Coach Reeves (former Lady Flame WBB coach) is now the coach for G-Webb?

Yes, and it's a family affair--both of his daughters (former LU players) are assistant coaches:

No way!! I didn't know that. I do remember one of his daughters playing basketball here.

Both Krystal and Kimmie played for LU. Krystal was by far the better player.

I can picture the scenario down the road if the lady bulldogs are having a bad year. Some smart-alec reporter from the Boiling Springs fishwrap stands up in a news conference and asks "Do you ever wish your wife had given birth to better assistant coaches?"

Kimmie has built quite the resume' since leaving LU:
Prior to coming on board at Gardner-Webb, Clark spent two years as a color analyst for the University of Southern Mississippi ISP Sports Network. Clark also served as an administrative assistant for coach Rick Reeves’ Lady Eagles while she worked on her master’s degree at Southern Miss.

Clark was a three-year letterwinner at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va., playing for Reeves for two years. There, she helped guide the Flames to three straight Big South Conference titles and three trips to the NCAA Tournament. Clark, a shooting guard, helped Liberty to a 28-0 record heading into the 1998 NCAA Tournament, where the Flames fell to top-seeded and eventual champion Tennessee.

Clark earned a bachelor’s degree from Liberty in 2000, with a major in sports management. She completed work on her master’s in sports administration from Southern Miss in 2002.

I noticed "Kimmie" goes by Kim now....that's what getting married and having children will do for you! Seriously though, when Kimmie was here she was never more than a bench player, but she was very, very popular with her teamates and a real fan favorite. Whenever she came into a game the crowd at the Vines would go crazy. A really great girl. I'm glad to see she's doing well. She's one of those "good people" you meet and hope they succeed in life.

There was a moment with the daughters playing basketball that is def on my top 5 all time JF moments list...it was great

Another funny note when one of them transferred in the media guide at the new school it said they were the all time leading 3 point % leader in the Seminole District....one problem, they didnt keep that stat at the time

Tonight’s game is one Gardner-Webb coach has been dreading

Rick Reeves never had any interest in playing non-conference games against some of his closest coaching friends. And he certainly never had any interest in bringing Gardner-Webb to Lynchburg to face Liberty.

There were just too many memories, too many emotions that would be spawned by facing the Flames at the Vines Center.

Back in the day, Reeves, SCAR, KG, and I all played on the same TRBC church BB team. It was like having a couple of coaches on the floor at all times. :)

It was literally having a coach on the floor at the same time. Paul Nazigian, Kim Graham, Me and Rick Reeves were all coaches. Remember when Greg McCauley beat us by himself in the championship game? He was unstoppable. We had the better team but he did a Stephen Curry on us. Greg of course was a former player at Liberty and former assistant and is the reason I came to Liberty. Great guy.

Did Jessica Nelson even play? I'm not sure she's even back from Japan yet...

She hasn't played since the St. Paul game on 12/13. I guess being in Japan would explain why.

She wasn't on the bench last night.
