Northwood Academy is about as small a private school as there is.
So there's that.

The school doesn't get much coverage in the local papers and they don't do anything on their school website. I have tried contacting her coach and others for about a year with no success. This link above is about the best I can do for you. Some forums have mentions of her as a project who does have some low post skills.

Sly, do we even know what other schools were recruiting her? As in other DI's?

she's probably going to be a project. But if she ends up being anything like Feenstra, then she will be worth it!

The only comparison between this girl and Katie are their size and she's still 2 inches shorter than Katie was. Also, Katie was not a project by any stretch of the imagination.

Let's face it. None of us know squat about this girl. I guess a verbal indicates an offer by us, but we can withdraw that if we have a better prospect. I have to assume our staff feels that at the very least she has potential.

From a source with direct knowledge of Cara's game ...
She's a legit 6'6", slender, and a big time project. Can't score at all from more than 6' from the basket, endurance is a question, and doesn't make a big enough difference on defense, even with her size and length. The comparisons to Feenstra make me smile, because she's nothing like her.
My prognosis: She could begin to contribute consistently by her junior season, but she needs muscle, a jump shot, and some serious conditioning/endurance.

What exactly was Katie's range when she was here--maybe 10 feet maximum?
Muscle, weight, conditioning, & endurance can all be worked on, once she gets here and gets in the cafeteria, the weight room, and the gym.

I'm dying to know how you have a source at Northwood Academy.
