The most successful program on Liberty Mountain deserves its own forum. We give Coach Green and the Lady Flames their props while breaking down their run to the Big Dance once again.

Other than MTSU, you really believe that the other CUSA women’s basketball team are legit? Only 5 teams has a winning record. At least 3 of those did not play anyone legit. You say I beat the same drum, it is because it’s the same every year. It’s the same slow players he recruits every year. His decision making as of late is very questionable. He might have a chance this year for conference championship but comes playing against top school, the team does not have athletic abilities to compete. You maybe satisfied winning against low level teams. I am talking about raising the level of the program to compete against the bigger school.
CUSA is better then the ASUN and Big South...

This has been his best job coaching in awhile. To think LU would be one game away from winning the CUSA Title in year two is pretty impressive. Todays game will be interesting because the two previous were blowouts by each team.

Gotcha. I'm pretty sure that we could go to the national title game with Coach Green, lose in triple overtime and you would still say he's not the one to lead us to the next level. You be you and be miserable as a "fan" of the Flames and I'll enjoy watching them play where we are at and rooting for them and love that we are more than a business at LU. It's about changing lives as well as winning and bringing glory to God whatever happens.
(Jesus juke)
First of all you are living a fantasy world in making a state that the team will make the National title. Men’s basketball coach McKay is changing lives at the same time a better coach. The program can get someone else to elevate the program and can change lives for players through Christ. In my opinion, the program still need a coach that can bring in better athletes.
Wait! @ECC29 thinks a coaching change needs to be made?!??!! Shocker! Stop me if you’ve heard this before.

There's a team named FGCU which yall have beaten only once while in the ASUN.

The only way Liberty might get off the 14-line is because WBB has some funky geographic exceptions it can make to try to keep teams closer to home. But it’s rare they use them for schools that don’t travel well - which LU does not in WBB.

I don’t mean this to sound snarky but do any schools travel well in WBB?

FGCU was a unicorn in mid-major WBB and you know it.
No congratulations for a conference championship and a trip to the dance?

Did I just read "yall"? Not "we"? So you, once arguably the most avid Liberty women's sports fan on this board, no longer identify as part of our program because they have not bowed the knee to your demands to fire Cary Green?

As far as FGCU is concerned, they have dominated the ASUN before, during and after our tenure there, including going 18-0 this year under new coach Chelsea Lyles, who was Smesko's Associate HC for several years and stepped up to the HC job when he left for the WNBA. She may just be the perfect fit to keep their run going since she was already their top recruiter and knows Smesko's system inside out.

You can go back for years see that I've often been a Green critic. Having said that, it looks like he's made some adjustments, and we are back to being successful once again. Credit where credit is due.

See? This is what being a true fan looks like
After getting waxed by MTSU early in the year it’s impressive they way they beat them twice sense. After the TN game I *thought* this team could be good. Coach Green did what he needed to do to maximize the potential on this team. IMHO both he and RMK deserved CoY honors

The ladies made a game of it against the Kentucky Wildcats with a furious 4th quarter rally, losing 79-78. Love the never give up attitude. Congrats to them on a really good season.

It was definitely a respectable showing. I believe they were 16 point underdogs. To have a chance to win it with seconds left in the game is all you can really ask for.

Didn't see much of the game, but I heard Asia Boone didn't play or barely played because of an injury? If that is the case, how much of a difference would this game would've been?

I think over all we were the better team. Difference was Georgia Amoore. As soon as she came back to earth, after shooting 90% from 3 point range in the first 2 and a half quarters it showed. We also started a little slow.
