The most successful program on Liberty Mountain deserves its own forum. We give Coach Green and the Lady Flames their props while breaking down their run to the Big Dance once again.

Personal issues, according to Krystal Reeves, GWU assistant. They hope she'll be back by the conference tournament. No elaboration on what said personal issues were.

She'd be a real loss if she misses any more games. She fills in more than adequately for Margaret Roundtree's position at 6'2".

believe it or not, refs are not perfect, and some are downright bad at what they do. Could I do it better? No. Absolutely not. But I know when a chef is doing his job well, even if I can't cook as well as him, so I can tell if a ref is doing his job right even if I don't know how to ref. I consider the final product.
Interesting comparison. So, if you taste something that you think is awful, but someone who is a trained culinary professional is outstanding, who is right who is to say whether the chef did a good job or not?
I never said that officials are perfect but I will tell you without a doubt that officials, especially at the D1 level, have a more acute understanding of what constitutes a travel then either you or JBOCK. Do officials miss calls? Yep, I KNOW I missed one this past weekend and it makes me mad. Was it because of some lack of rules knowledge or skill? Nope. It was because of the timing of a rotation and what match up I chose to watch. The point being there is a HUGE difference between missing a traveling call, which in this case I am not even sure happened, and not knowing the rule. So if you would like the "troll like" postings to cease, then stick to the way the game was played not officiated

ATRAIN - Normally I would agree with you but with BWALL on the board, I would bump that number up to 99.5% HA
I wasn't defending the notion that a referee doesn't know the rules.

I was pointing out your obsession with defending your fellow zebras as if they were infallible.

Face it, refs miss some calls, and they can be the difference in a close game. One block that's called a charge on a made basket in a 1 point game is the difference in a win or a loss (along with every other basket in the game, but this is one that the player had no control over).

Officiating has been and will always be a topic of discussion for post-game basketball. The overall inconsistency between individual officials in any sport, and the calls that get missed due to the human element of the game, can swing the odds in one team's favor.
JBOCK was the one who insinuated that the official didn't know the rule.

If you re read my post you will see that I said officials do miss calls.
Your last point is the one I take exception with. It is the one of the biggest fallacies involved in sports. You are correct that players have no control over what happens with the officials. However, the have so much more in their hands that they can control and affect a game then any call by an official. Missed shots, missed defensive assignments, missed box outs, stupid fouls and turnovers in the 1st half have a much deeper affect on a game. Officials are not infallable but they are the most consistent people on the court

Since I am positive readers of the board do not want to read through the NFHS and/or NCAA M/W guidelines regarding traveling, why don't you describe the play you have a question about and we can see if it is traveling or not and cite the rules reference.
However, I will provide the 4 biggest misconceptions about traveling:
1. A player IS allowed to pick up their pivot foot.
2. If a player dives on the floor for a loose ball they are allowed to slide all the way down the court until they reach out of bounds.
3. Two players from the same team holding the ball is NOT a travel.
4. Just b/c it LOOKS like a travel, doesn't mean it IS a travel!
Does your play fall into any of those?

Do we really have co-defensive coordinators?
