Megan with 28 points and 10 rebounds. No one else in double digits. We need a consistant #2 scorer to step up.

I thought the turnovers were going to get us this time, but we ended up with 13 for the game, which is a big improvement.

we had only 12 TO's against VT which i thought we had over 17 in that game. kudos to the flamers to holding to the ball a bit better so far.

Actually, our scoring has been much more balanced this year til today. I have absolutely no problem with Megan taking charge in a big game. We just can't depend on it in EVERY game.

Good bench play from Racheal McCloud and Hammond. Kept the starters fresh. 13 turnovers. That is awesome.

coming back from a 13 point deficit was pretty good against a team who has 4 losses at home in the last 2 or 3 years.

I would rate this game up there with the UVA win last year. Maybe better.

I have a really good feeling about this year's team. IMHO having no changes in the roster last year was an unhealthy situation, which was compounded by the still-mysterious (to me anyway) internal drama. I think we are benefiting from "new blood" on and off the court.

We are much more solid at the point with McCloud and a healthy Allyson, and Courtney, Moriah and Molly all seem to have stepped it up a notch. I predict a return to the top of the conference and if we can get some quality minutes from Egle later in the season, we may even be able to make some noise in the dance again.

I feel the same way right now about the team although I think that next year will be the year we make some noise in the tourney. We will definately compete for the Big South crown and I think that we could pick up some big wins between now and conference play begins. UNC will be the biggie and hopefully we can be competitive. Richmond, JMU, Ball State, and UNLV are the other money games on our schedule that we had a great shot at winning. Last year was just a fluke for us. We looked great at times but just wasn't up to our standards.

Great weekend for the girls. This is a huge win. We must build on this success and keep our heads on straight. If we could ever get in to the dance with a decent matchup, we would be scary because Megan always plays so well when we go against "the bigger guys."

Xavier beat #7 Georgia 65-55 yesterday, which should reflect well on our ladies in both the rankings and the RPI! :woohoo

Lady Flames got 2 votes in the AP Top 25, behind UCLA but ahead of Dayton; Xavier got 5 votes.

Beating Richmond helped, according to rpiratings.com Richmond's RPI is in the top 100. Hopefully Xavier beats #19 George Washington and JMU beats ODU next week. That'll really help the RPI.
