My team lost in the state tourney and I come home to LU losing to Radford by more than 20! What is going on here?
(I just hope the refs were better than ours. We only had two for the whole stinking state tourneys running two games one right after another!)

Radford was 8-10 from the perimeter and our defense was shoddy. i watched part of the game online and it was quite ugly. It was a one man show and that was Megan Frazee with 27 points and 16 boards. nobody else had more than 5 points. i was mad at halftime and turned the broadcast off at halftime.

We need people to step up and play and to stop using Megan as a crutch. It's great having such an awesome player but we have a lot of talent that needs to be used like a team. Megan is a team player but when her team is stagnant she will take over the game (I know, I do it myself, or I try) which is all well and good but everyone else shouldn't put her in that situation in the first place.

But this year, the NIT has decided to give each conference 1 NIT bid. The Big South has decided to give it to the team with the best conference record that doesn't go to the NCAA tournament. If we would have won at Radford, and High Point (the #1 seed) won the Big South tournament, LU would have still went to the NIT.

Now, if Highpoint wins, Radford will go to the NIT. So this loss to Radford means a lot! Now we have to win the tourney to get a postseason game.

I have a feeling this might be the year we lose in the tourney. But at least if we won that game and Highpoint takes care of business, we would have the NIT. And I think you could have even used that in recruiting (hey, we went to the last 10 NCAA tourneys, and this past year when we didn't, we went to the NIT). Now if we lose in the Big South tournament, we have nothing.

Ugh. So now the girls just have to win in the tourney. They can still do it. Maybe these losses will make them mad.
