Oklahoma is a 6th seed, and no other team we played made the tournament.

Really? Catholics v Protestant is hat you are hanging your head on? Maybe if it was like an 8/9 match up or something, but not a 1/16.
...and an ugly loss to NC A&T. We are where we should be in my opinion. I think we are better team than we showed early in the season, but such is life.

ND also knocked off UCON 2 or 3 times this year. They aren't too sHabby

What? All conference tourney champs make the tournament. They are not going to give an At Large bid to a 16th seed?

There are pundits who say being a conference champion in and of itself should not even get you in if you aren't one of the 64 best teams. Which BTW we are NOT this year. There are SEC ACC and BIG 10 teams better than us who aren't in, but we get an auto-bid as BSC champs. I like it the way it is, but there is an argument the other way.

Big East Women's basketball is very competitive. ND has 3 girls who made 1st team all conference  It would be an upset of "Biblical proportions" Play Basketball

Would our mens basketball team beat the ND womens team as bad as the ND womens team will beat our lady flames?

Serious question.

Every conference champion EARNED their way in by winning their tournament. Every at large team lost in conference tournament, thus having to receive a gift from selection committee. In the world of fairness, the Big South Champion has just as much right to be in NCAA tourney as the Big East Champion. Big South schools play NCAA basketball by the same rules as Big East, ACC or anyone else.

It is only "fair" that they get in because that is the way the tournament is structured. A LOT of people would say that teams that win their conference regular season have done more to "earn" a bid than someone who gets hot for 3 games in a conference tournament.

Seeding is a totally different process from selection, and it is based on who had the best resume. The resumes of a lot of small conference tournament champions really stink.

So by your logic, and they would probably agree, Liberty should be seeded higher then UConn, Penn State, Tennessee and Duke.

When the men's team beat ND's women?

Not if Dunton coached the team. :D

Okay folks, time for jbock to work some of his tourney magic! Like you saw yesterday. So, I predict that Notre Dame crushes Liberty!

(p.s: if you don't get the joke, don't comment).

According to ESPN's coverage map, the Roanoke/Lynchburg market will see the game in its entirety. All else will have to watch through ESPN 3. That is if ESPN doesn't screw up that like they did 2 years ago.

The last time I felt like this depressed, Marshall was beating Coach Sam's LU team 63-3. :pale

I'm very impressed that the female announcer has said more than one that Liberty is a "Christian school". I love that free advertising on national TV. :clapping
