What a joke that Katie Tull got POY over Avery. It shows that apparently a lot of voters are too lazy to look past the scoring column. Tull led the league in scoring because she jacked up 73 more treys than anyone else in the conference. She isn't even the best shooter on her own team. Avery was not only the dominant rebounder and defender in the league, but by far the most effecient offensive player as well. She shot almost 63% from the floor, while Tull was barely over 40% and 35% from 3.

There are fewer media that vote for the women's award than the men's, and the coaches love to reward seniors. That's why Roundtree won it last year. That's why Tull won it this year. Warley was hands down the most dominant player in the league.

While we should beat the purple putty tats on paper, the game must still be played. HPU dominated CSU today. No doubt the girls aren't afraid of High Point, but the opposition should still be respected. Not going to be a walkover or guaranteed W.

ACtually (if you caught your word usage) we TOTALED 100 points...we AVERAGED 50. Still Im not saying that we're gonna win in a walkover but I seriously dont think that just because of what HPU did today that the girls are gonna be shaking in their tennis shoes. Remember...we are teh 13 time and defending champions and we won on High Point's court the last what...two years?
