2006-07 WBCA NCAA Division I Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll

School (Head Coach) - Team GPA
1) South Dakota State (Aaron Johnston) - 3.693
2) Northern Iowa (Tanya Warren) - 3.624
3) Saint Bonaventure (Jim Crowley) - 3.594
4) Montana State-Bozeman (Tricia Binford) - 3.557
5) Brown (Jean Marie Burr) - 3.517
6) Oakland (Beckie Francis) - 3.515
7) Liberty (Carey Green) - 3.508
Fumble, check my geography on this, but isn't Liberty the only school in the top 7 that is south of the Mason-Dixon line?

That is a great accomplishment for them, but hopefully our freshman can bring it in school their first year. We didn't have any freshmen this year so that might have helped. Still that is really awesome! Specially with two in a tough nursing program.

what an accomplishment. that's great.

i know two frazees are in the nursing program. i'm not sure how the it compares to other major programs offered at LU, but a friend of mine says she has had many, many late nights studying with whichever two frazees are in it.

surely they must really be spreading things out over their years here. ladies basketball team and the nursing program... seems like that'd be overwhelming.

That would be Moriah and Molly in the nursing program, and Megan's majoring in Kinesiology which is a tough major in itself.

I have a number of friends in the nursing program and its pretty safe to say that it is one of if not THE hardest major on campus for undergrads. TO be able to balance that high level of academic success with high level success on the basketball court is a major accomplishment in and of itself
