I it makes me so mad that the year we were undefeated we were a 16 seed and played Tenn. That was such a joke! I guess UNCA did have nice wins against Mars Hill & Montreat

They did beat Wake Forest but they were in the basement of the ACC. I don't think they won a game in the ACC conference this season. Yes they played a crapped up schedule. In terms of us being undefeated in 98 i think we should have been a higher seed but we really didn't play anybody that year.

That was so the commentators and reporters had something worth writing about in the first round that year. A lot of credit needs to go to those girls in the early years who started that run... esp Sharon, Sarah and Elena.

Something tells me that they might show Radford's buzzer beater as part of the telecast since we had that run and UNCA beat Radford in the championship

I think they got that nice of a seed because of LU's recent success. If it weren't for our run to the sweet 16 they would be 15 or 16, but because of that they look at the Big South as a better conference than they would if we never made that run.

13 seed - I am glad we play a tough OCC and beat a ranked team so we can be so much higher than UNCA - (Ok I am done - I will let it go now)

I about fell over when I saw UNCA's seeding. It is the reverse "Pat Summitt" syndrome!! Now WAY they deserve that high of a seed. Who did they play? Who did they beat?? (And I am a big fan of Betsy, and for those who know me know why!)

They played Wake forest and won but they were in the basement of the ACC and didn't win a game in the ACC this season. Other than that UNCA has not played anybody all season except for those Bayou Bengals who await them on Saturday night.

I don't know if you noticed the 16s --- I believe three teams with losing records. The 15 and 16s are really weak this year, which is why UNCA got a bump.

yeah Chris, I looked at the women's brackets today for the first time and it finally made sense to why UNC-A got such a high seed....
