haize...how can you say we are a deep team?? the girls that are coming off the bench are not giving us that much at all.

Running against High Point would be a mistake. HPU's best assets are its speed and quickness. Liberty would get run out of the gym.

They may not be giving us anything, but they have a lot of talent. IMHO, I think they may have a chemistry problem, and some players are trying to figure out their roles. It is not to be unexpected. It is nice, on a side note, to have a team that is "rebuilding" and still only loses 2 games (so far) in conference play. Having seen, up close and personal the several teams on the schedule, I still mantain that we have a lot of talent and can go DEEP in the rotation. What I feel we lack is some athleticism, but we do have some height

And that is how you beat LU. Beat their "bigs" down the floor and you won't have to deal with them as much. Also, it allows you to use that speed to get any offensive rebounds. The thing is, not too many teams have been able to do that to LU (noted exception LSU) and unfortunately BS teams are starting to

I agree with the purple one... give me the first five players (healthy) off of Liberty's bench (and Haize as my assistant coach) and I will finish in the top 3 of the conference (not counting the other Liberty team that would be in this fictional scenario.)

Give me Ditka at the five and we win the NCAA's.

Seriously, there is a lot of talent, we just aren't clicking for some reason. This is the same team that walked through the Big South (other than H.P.) last year without Megan. This is the same team that was beating the #8 team in the country (GW) late in the second half on their floor.

Something isn't right and let's just hope it gets corrected by March.

Smoothie, you know I got nothing but love, but I can't pin this on recruiting. We didn't have any seniors last year and the last recruiting class we had was pretty darn good. (61% of our points this season)

what i see is a slow team. any team with some speed should be able to beat us. and until the so-called "talent" shows me something, i maintain my stance. i love ya too fsn! :D

agree with you smooth. the team ran the same offensive play all the time in the game and were not creative enough on offense. also they forgot to play defense in this game too.

on top of that they threw the ball away too many times in the second half.

SMOOTH - I think I addressed the lack of athleticism, but that lack does not mean lack of talent. SO they ran the same offensive set all night, is that so wrong? Let's see, UCLA ran the same thing for a couple of DECADES, they did fairly well, UNC did the same, how about the Utah Jazz? No one would call THEM overly athletic but how many years did THEY have success? (OK Mark Eaton was an athletic BEAST you got me on THAT one).
Having athletes does not mean having talent. HOWEVER< it would be nice to see SOME athleticsm out there. And I will agree with FSN, your love noodle, that the second five of LU could finish 2nd or 3rd (Especially if MRS PURPLE was at the helm). The good thing is the tournament final would still be AT LU!!!!
As a scouting report you are dead on though. If I had a bunch of athletes I would get LU moving East and West and not North and South b/c that would play to our strength. Have about a 6', 6'2" athletic/mobile post? That could wreek havoc on our post players. Also, we REALLY struggle against a press. I would slap it on and keep it on. But that is just me
