LYNCHBURG, Va. — Megan Frazee bypassed the chance to become a big-time women's basketball recruit but not to become a big-time player. Though she was home-schooled for much of high school and played three years for an obscure Christian school team, she was known by powers such as Ohio State as the tall player with post moves, perimeter skills and a 30-point average.
Before many major programs could become too interested, she issued her criteria. She wanted to play with her triplet sisters, and they wanted to attend a Christian college. Liberty University, an evangelical Christian school founded by Jerry Falwell in 1971, beat out Cedarville, an NAIA school near their then-home of Xenia, Ohio.
