A Sea Of Red

I took some pics this afternoon of the new floor it looks real nice all that is missing is the logo in the middle of the floor, I will have them up soon...

I can't come to Lynchburg to upload them for you. You're a big boy, you can do it yourself.

Yea, I saw them. That looks a lot better than the old floor.

wow! that's nice. it's going to look even better with the dotted lines, and the logo. i like to see the lighter wood also. good year for the flames

i hope they put i nice blue carpet around the court, instead of that ugly yellow thing we had this year

Hmmm.
I like the use of darker colors b/c it gives it a more "intimate" tone thus reducing the CAVERNOUS approach of the Vines Center in years past. Something needs to be added in the lane however, IMO. I was always a big fan of the key being in the shape of a basketball (a la Pacers) but not everyone is. The logo should be interesting. Over all I am giving it 2.75 stars and for right now just one snap and a half a twist (In Living Color fans out there?)

The floor is a definite improvement. I like a lot. Hopefully they will put the logo on the floor.

The major question: Will they use tape for volleyball lines or have them painted on?

i think tape is better. so you dont have all of those lines all over the court. what do you guys think

Of course they will use tape. Volleyball is merely a way to utilitze the facility until the "real" sports start. Title IX Title Shmine

I really hope they just put the logo and not the big huge Liberty Flames text. I hated that floor.

I'll get you in touch with a couple baseball players I know and see if they can loan you a couple bats...

The logo should be going on today and the color of the wood will darken a bit. They have yet to put the finish on which will make it darker. As far as the outside of the court, it will be a grey rubber floor all the way around and back to where the old yellow crap stopped. The concrete in the tunnel will then be painted to match the rubber.

no more rubber with holes all over the place???? I miss seeing people trip while just simply walking b/c the last thing on their mind is "there might be a hole"

Hear me and hear me good. Whoever is responsible for the execution of this idea deserves a 10% raise immediately. As ugly as the logo on the court was, this was contributing to the all around hidiousness far more than any other feature in the arena. Bravo.
