While we wait for the official schedule to be rolled out for this coming season, let's try to bring discussion of whom we will be playing right here. If we have done this recently then never mind.
It has been well publicized that we have Davidson on the road this year but here is the first formal note of whom will be playing in the turkey tourney we are hosting:
Following an appearance in the Liberty University Tournament on Nov. 29, where it will open against William and Mary, the Bulldogs return home to face Winston-Salem State on Dec. 6.

Someone alert Stevev that we have a CAA team, W&M-conference tourney runner-up, coming to the Vines.

Wow, I guess that means no traveling out of the state for me this Thanksgiving. We should be in our house by then so I guess we will be hosting. Great find on the schedule Sly. I am glad we are playing the Tribe in hoops. I hope that Lithuanian kid graduated though. He was tough. I forget his name now though but I saw him play a few times and he was very impressive.

The Tribe beat us something like 90-70 last time we played them, which was in Williamsburg. That was in the 03-04 Season.

What I know:
18 conference games (including 2 vs Presby, and 2 vs GW)
LU tourney (W&M, SC St, and possibly a d2)
LU tourney
George Mason
@ Davidson
@ St Louis
@ Depaul
Las Vegas tourney
Las Vegas tourney
@ ACC team
That leaves at least 2-3 games to be scheduled.

More info on the Las Vegas tourney:
The Saint Louis men's basketball team is part of an eight-team field comprising the tournament. Also participating will be Creighton, DePaul, Fresno State, Liberty, Northern Colorado, South Carolina-Upstate and Southern. Each team will play four games, the first two at campus sites on dates to be announced, and the final two games at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 22 and 23.

I think we are set to play Depaul and St Louis at their place, and then 2 of the other teams mentioned in Vegas.

From Creighton:
The games in Las Vegas, Nev., will be played on Dec. 22 and 23, and will see the Jays play a total of two games against either DePaul, Fresno State or Saint Louis.
As part of the event, CU will also host two games against a pool of teams consisting of Southern, Liberty, South Carolina Upstate and Northern Colorado.

I really wish we could get better than that. It's not a huge draw to the local people to come see mighty Cinci Christian.

Well Those are games that you make sure you can execute and just work out the kinks and everything is being run smoothly... everyone does it on every level.

I don't think it's been formally announced, but I'm thinking it's going to be a d2.

Just an fyi (and I don't think it has been posted on here elsewhere)...according to an RU poster on the winthropfans board, the RU AD sent an email out that mentioned that at the conference meetings, they decided to have Presby's games count in the conference standings next year, even though they aren't yet eligible for the conference tourney. This is a change because presby's media guides last year had a timeline and it mentioned that their games wouldn't count.

That's exactly how they handled it for Birmingham Southern. Nice decision for once by the league.

The Blue Demons return home to host a pair of games at the Allstate Arena in the Las Vegas Classic against Liberty on the 17th and Southern on the 19th. DePaul then goes to Las Vegas to face Creighton, Saint Louis or Fresno State on the 22nd with the winners and losers of the first round games facing off on the 23rd. Those pairings will be announced in the coming weeks.
