I know how much SJ loves my cryptic posts.

This is a very good omen if you believe is sorcery and that sort of business.

Obviously, we're getting a transfer from Rice and Sly is sort-of breaking the news.

I thought an owl was normally a bad omen...in Shakespeare's Macbeth, an owl hooted after Macbeth had killed the king and that was mentioned by the guests staying in the castle before they discovered the king's body.

Now Sly, don't play with us...out with what this cryptic message means. Are we getting an assistant from Rice to replace Layer?

Check the other threads. It's not hard.

Well, at least he a point guard and not a shooter. Holy cow, he's a 6'3" PG. Pretty good size for college basketabll. Rivals says that he took an official this past weekend. He must have liked what he saw. I wonder if he was at the spring game.

I didn't think we had any room left. The turnover this summer is going to be ugly.

Check Rivals again, LUconn ... they have updated his status.

And for the record, this means nothing as far as turnover for our current players.

does anybody have an insider account at scout? I see a Jesse Sanders thread but I can't read it.

6'3" is good size, but it's nothing out of the ordinary...

i wonder whatt his real weight is. cstv has him at 195, scout at 170, and rivals at 190. either way he needs to hit the weight room, that's kind of scrawny for 6'3"

Not a transfer, but an incoming Freshman. I guess the owl references refer to his having previously verbaled to Rice?

Sly, I noted your comment about this being meaningless as far as player turnover, and have to admit you've got me mystified there. It certainly seems he would put us one more over the limit, unless he is coming on something other than a basketball scholarship.

Good eye ... wrong direction. Take note of the precise language.

OK, since you said "current player" turnover won't be affected, I have to think it involves another player in our recruiting class. The LOI is a binding one year contract, but I guess if all parties agree, a recruit can switch to another school.

Lewis?????

Maybe Curry is going to sit a year to get out of his LOI since everybody and their mother wants him. And by maybe I mean I've got a source that tells me that

Shame on you, sir. You should know by now that news broken on FlameFans can only be disclosed through esoteric Byzantine codespeak.

I was thinking of that, but didn't want to say it. Actually, if Curry did change his mind, I don't know if there would be any real benefit to our standing in his way by not releasing him.
