But Dad all I have talked about is there is no use speculating on who will lose scholarships and asked when Anthony's wife's baby was due. Anyone who has attended a basketball game knew she was pregnant. I was asking because I did not know if it would be due during the season or if he would have time to adjust to fatherhood before the season started. He is our best player next year and being a father could change his priorities. That is why I asked.

You make a lot of assumptions Sissy. I attended several games, and while I no doubt saw more than 1 pregnant woman in attendance, I had no way of knowing if any of them were the future Mrs. Smith. You see it was none of my business. In addition, probably a majority of the people who post here on flamefans don't live in Lynchburg and don't get to go to games in person. This may not have been the world's best-kept secret, but it was NOT public knowledge.

When I read your post, it came across as a smart-alek comment from someone who assumed that an athlete would only get married before graduation if his bride was pregnant. IMHO, the fact that you did happen to know that she was pregnant makes your question no more appropriate. Were you planning on buying a gift for the baby shower? If you know the couple that well, it would seem you would be able to find out what you want to know somewhere other than a public forum for discussing LU men's basketball.

There are ways to ask about Smitty's wife being pregnant other than the way it was done on here. I think it is a legitimate question, but was done with very little tact and should've been handled better.

I noticed a college age looking female in an Anthony Smith jersey and did the math. I would love to get them a wedding present or something for the baby, but seeing as how I am a member of the Flames Club that would be illegal and I do not want to get our programs in trouble.

My wife wore my carson palmer jersey to a baby shower a couple of months ago. I can assure you that it is not Carson's baby. Although I'm not sure that I'd mind that much.

Congratulations to Smitty and Delia! This topic has gotten completely away from what it was intended to do. Delia is pregnant and that is that. No more mention needs to be made of Smittys personal life other than to congratulate him on his marriage.
