According to varius sites, Marqutte will hire Dale Layer as assistant coach.
Makes sense Buzz Williams (new head coach) worked for Layer at Colorado State.

If not now to Marquette it will be soon to another high major assistant or mid major head coaching position. We are blessed to have had him as long as we have, and I think as people watched the Colorado State program go down the toilet this year without him they are realizing what a good coach he is.

Best of luck Dale! I figured we couldn't hang on to him that long... was still awesome to have him around.

does that mean TL20 will now be playing for Marquette?

didn't "TL20" barely get PT for Liberty? I don't imagine he'd be getting any at all at Marquette in the big east if he couldn't get any in the big south regardless of the school.

TTL, the hire was probably done primarily to get TL20 on the Marquette team without losing a scholarship.

I hate to see Coach Layer leave the conference. Not only is he a good coach but a good man as well.

So when did an assistant job at Marquette get so much better than one at LU?

by LUconn
Probably since around the creation of LU basketball.

I'm trying to find some sign of sarcasm or humor in this post, but I don't see it. Are you serious?
