I stole this from another board, but pick your starting 5 from players that played at LU from 2000-2008.
I'll go first:
PG Brian Woodson
G Larry Blair
G Chris Caldwell
PF Gabe Martin
C Alex McLean

do we have to choose one from each position or can we do it like an all-conference team, where it's just the top 5 players?

I think the idea behind it is a starting 5.
I'd go with:
PG -- Bannister
SG -- Blair
SF -- Dees
PF -- Martin
C -- McLean
I'll take the heat on adding Dees. What could have been.

LUconn, make it who you would want to be in your starting 5 if you could pick any 5. If you want 4 guards and a center go ahead.

It's manson's thread, but he said pick a starting 5, and I would take that to mean a real lineup that you would start on the floor. His lineup does have 3 guards, but then so did our best team of the decade!
I would go with the same lineup except for Smitty over Caldwell. It would be pretty much a tossup right now, but if Anthony even approaches what we expect from him next year, that would put him over. Kinda sad that a Juco transfer who only played 2 years is our all-decade post player, but it's not even close. In fact, only 2 of manson's 5 are 4 year players in the program.

Then where's ROB ATTAWAY??? He gave us the 3 best years of his life, until he was dropped from the team.

Unfortunately that was a gut wrenching decision, but I opted to leave him off. Had he added a tattoo it probably would have made the difference.

I didn't think "The Mayor of LU Hoops" would have the guts to name his teams.
Kudos to Scar for stepping up.
I'm not sure how my list would go but it would have a heavy Texan presence. I believe GOAT was already gone by 2000 but formerplayer would certainly get some love.
