Or maybe Winthrop currentlay has a better team - they still have history on their side, they're comming off their biggest season last year and they have motiviation, having lost to UNC Asheville twice in the Regular season.

Yes...and a satisfying season it was. Coach McKay has something to really build upon. Players are happy. The student body is behind the team and the coach like I haven't seen in some time...and the faculty are happy. Obviously, checkers, we shall disagree as to the direction of the team...but in my opinion, it is nice to have a...

No offense, but the faculty being happy is way down on the list of "things we actually care about" considering most if they do show up sit on there hands on the baptist side.

I'm pretty sure he's talking from an academic stand point and the way the team is academically.

Either way he doesn't speak for the entire faculty so for him to say that is ridiculous.

To play Devil's Advocate... he may not have talked to every member of the faculty and had an election... but I'm sure he is around 10 or more faculty that have led him to the conclusion. It would be like a presidential poll... Gallup doesn't poll every American but they get a feel of how the country stands. If he has a feel that most faculty believe that, then it is a pretty good survey sample.

I don't mean to be ignorant of the facts... Rocketfan, if you are a faculty member and disagree with him then I respect that... otherwise I would think it is fair for someone around faculty to give the sense of how they feel.

For a faculty member to say something like that in the first place would suggest that enough other faculty members feel the same way to give, at least, the general impression.

I understand people in Student Affairs are pretty happy with McKay and Rocco as well.
