Great job this season guys. Seniors we will miss you (Alumni game anyone?) TeeJay was special from day one to me. His passes were brilliant. One of the top point guards to ever put on a Liberty uni. Ace was very deserving of his 1st team all conference. He will be tough to replace. Those double double guys are rare in deed! Russell was a pleasure to be around and we all rooted for him to be a spectacular basketball player but it didn't happen. I am really proud of him though for his efforts and the way he represented Liberty. Rell Porter is one of my favorite players and people. A real winner. I will miss this group. Thanks to coach McKay, Dale Layer, Brad Soucie, Jason Eaker and Tommy Crommwell for their work with our guys! I think the future is bright for Liberty basketball.
As for UNCA-Congratulations to coach Biedenbaugh. I really like that guy and can't help but root for him. I am looking forward to the final game on Saturday. It should be a good game. I wish the Flames were in it though.

JE got the other 3 seniors right and then named Anderson instead of Bannister.
Alex and TeeJay both did themselves proud in their last game as Flames.
Rell is a class act. Great attitude in accepting a reduced role and still leading the way with his hustle.
Russ is Russ.

In much the same vein, I would also like to thank the senior LUnatics. As an alum, it's unbelievable to be able to tune into a broadcast and to be able to hear LU fans giving a crap again and last night was just spectacular. That really means a lot to those of us who can't be there ourselves and I truly appreciate it. I know you guys have had some rough patches during the year but I love what you're doing and the way that you do it. Don't change a thing.

I talked to a few of you seniors last night. You guys all know I have nothing but respect and admiration for you. I have worked with all of you guys at one point or another and you know I would do anything for you that goes without saying.
Rell Porter- Youre the Hardest working guy on the planet, and that is exactly how I will remember you. We have a great friendship and I thank you for that and everything that you have ever done for me. You have taught me just by your leading by example at many different times, and have always conducted yourself in a respectful and polite manner. You dont sweat the small stuff and just get everything done. No matter how high it piles up on you, you get it all done, and that is why you will succeed in life.
Alex- Im pretty sure I met you from the time you stepped in the door haha. You have also shown what hardwork is, and how you can do what you set your mind to. You never played till Junior college and when you got here you were out of shape. You just went back home and busted your butt and you have been getting better ever since, to the point that you were the best big man in the league this year. You will make noise overseas and i cant wait to see it!
Big Russ- Although these last few years you have been in limited minutes, You did all of it without complaint. You always showed up and you always did your best. Anyone who would say you didnt play a role on this team is an idiot. You make every single person on our team better by practicing and playing with them. You are the definition of loyalty.
Last but not least, Mr. 904, TeeJay- Who would have thought, seeing you in the paper and seeing you play in Florida that you and I would end up here?! haha But God always seems to have a plan huh? TeeJay, you get the job done night in and night out and just bust your butt in every situation. When people started to give up this year and hang their heads, You never did, 100% of what you had is what you left on the floor. You know I will always respect you and value our friendship. You know I would do anything for you and I know you would for me too. I can remember sitting on your couch with you just flipping through NBA games watching with you and us saying that one day you would be there doing those things. Well man, You will, and I cant wait to watch it.

I would like to bid a farewell to the current 3 point line. You've been good to us over the years. It will be very interesting to see how the basketball philosophy will change next year.

TBGB, I realize we appreciate the players, but are they really all your friends or do you just worship them and write about the two times they hung out with you.
