Kyle Ohman!!!!

Kyle played like we've all known he can play tonight! He went about it in a humble way as well. Someone tried to point out the chest pound to me but I dont mind that so much when you've hit your 4th or 5th straight 3. You didnt see him hold up his follow through or taunt anyone. He played like he did at the start of the year.

I made this thread b/c I've been pretty hard on him the past few games with his attitude and I'll be the first to say when I've seen changes and that was a different person out there!

Also if you noticed his first 21 points were 3's! That's all we've been asking! Just spot up and shoot! Dont slash, shoot!

Scar dubbed me as the KO biggest fan at the start of the year...I'm glad I could come back and love him again! I hope he keeps it up!

It feels so good to be back!

I agree that for all of those who were quick to jump on Kyle's case it is in order for some of them to step back up and offer some appreciation this evening.

He came up big, showed us why he is getting the minutes he is.

Props, KO, keep it up. Asheville doesn't stand a chance if you drop 20+ on them.

Glad that KO picked it up when Jeremy had an off night shooting the three.

Kyle did what he is great at...shoot the ball...he flopped a couple of times (which I hate), but he more then made up for it with his hustle...oh and all of those 3's....those helped, ha

KO had a great game. if he keeps that up he'll be a significant factor in the ashville game

Man, we got some fair weather fans. Hope you guys remember the good thing he did if he makes a mistake in the asheville game. Speaking of weather, it was raining threes tonight, most from KO.

fair weather? no. critical, yes. if i was fair weather i wouldn't have been at half the games this season. i wouldn't have gone to away games. i'm just a critical person, just like many others on here. when someone plays bad, i'll say it. i'm not going to sugar coat it. when they play good, i'll say it. i'm not out to get anyone, i'm just honest. your boy KO had a good game, and i hope he keeps it up. i'm glad to see all the other stuff is gone, and hopefully it stays in the past

Kyle was ridiculous tonight. Made almost everything he threw up. Clutch play in a clutch game.

Kyle has played the same way in all games. He plays hard makes a few mistakes and tries to capitalize on what the defense is giving him (tonight it was threes, sometimes he has to penetrate). He will also always play with a lot of passion that sometimes turns into cocky acts, and he can go off on the offensive end as we saw tonight.

The thing that most people liked the most is that even as he went off and was completely on fire, he didn't do the showy "look at me" stuff like flexing his biceps.

troll alert

Played the same way???? Bro come on! I could careless if he doesnt make the 3's tonight...just dont hold up the follow through on the one that you do hit! It has nothing to do with the fair weather fans...it's factual did he or did he not taunt someone after a big block tonight (no) did he or did he not hold up a follow through (not tonite) so theres no opinion in that it's factual...

For the record, I dont mind the chest pound...he was on fire and deserved to do that for his streak....and we werent down 10 like the last time he held his follow through up

I was trying to keep this thread positive but some trolls wont let this happen....at times I wish I could post whatever I wanted on here...like people that were talking about his actions in previous games and name names...whatever though, it just makes me feel good that I wasnt alone with these opinions with people who know the game a lot better than I

How does this happen...you want to give someone credit for actually listening to his leadership and his good "friends" come on here and cause people to prove why they are in the wrong

   HA...no it's more along the lines of giving respect when it's due...all to often people from the outside that never post think everyone on here drinks the koolade of some flavor, so it's more about saying publicly when you see change 8)

The point I was trying to get at was people will make mistakes and have bad games, but the next game they may play just the way we want them to and have awesome games. Don't get too high and especially don't get too low on any one player.

and the point we are trying to make is that it wasnt the mistakes that we were getting on kyle for...nobody ever said Kyle went 2 for 15 what and idiot! They said Kyle showed an attitude taunting and holding up his follow through when down 10 and flexing coming down the court etc etc

We could careless if he makes mistakes...heck Russ makes a mistake every 30 seconds of PT but we LOVE him! Why? B/c he goes about it the right way and he's a lovable guy. Believe me man, we really could careless if Kyle goes for only 2 points but shows heart and passion and goes about it in a humble manner like he has in the past and did the last game....PROMISE!

I'm always pretty down on KO. I'm normally one of his biggest critics, although I don't post it much, because he is on our team afterall. But about 2 or 3 minutes into the game I was thinking, wow, he is making me eat my words. He played out of his mind yesterday. Really so much so that he kept Anderson on the bench more than usual. I'll certainly give credit where credit is due. Great game Ohman.

Nice article in the other fishwrap (Roanoke's) about the game, with a few quotes from KO:
"I had been telling myself all day that it was going to be one of those nights," said Ohman, whose previous high was 17 points. "I was just getting open looks and T.J. was finding me and I was just hitting shots. He does all the work, I just put the ball in the hole."
