Big South Tourney Quarterfinals: VMI - 7pm Tuesday

Ok, so we have a home first round conference game agains VMI Tuesday. They beat us at home by 2. This will not be an easy game, especially of VMI comes with a heavy fan base. The 10-12 Keydets on Tuseday were almost louder than our entire student section. So, what will we need to do as a team to beat VMI this time?

price of tickets?

In years past, LU would find a donor to fund students' tickets. I wonder if that will happen again this year?

which means someone is gonna have to find me some cash! I am broke! :(

Tickets are $3

Students have to pay $3. That's how the conference tournament is every year.

Our student fees cover Liberty University home games. They do not cover Big South Conference games hosted at Liberty University.

All the conference games are at 7. So hopefully we can get some updates in the vines Tuesday night

I was glad to hear 3 bucks...I could be completely wrong, but I thought in years past it was 5 bucks...

I am there though...and very excited

I think a friendly letter from the LUantics to our Chancellor may have him act as his predecessor has and find someone or some company purchase several hundred tickets for the students...I'm pretty sure he'd be willing to find the money for the kids!

:offtopic Ok....now....what about the actual game? What will we need to do to win

Seriously with the emoticon? Theres gotta be a 35 post rule before they can be used

Pretty much on topic since you'll need a ticket in order to see the game that you're coming up with a game plan for

But I'll give you my two cents...play like we did at their place...they completely switched roles...we shot the perimeter really well and when they came to our place we didnt yet they did....it helps when they have the best player in the league playing as well.

Let's just not run with them...slow it down

We can afford three bucks. Now, if we get to the 2nd round or championship game, that could be another story.

I have no clue how I'm going to afford getting to the 2nd round game.

I like our chances.

A. we match up pretty well. Except Reggie, but no one matches up well vs. him
B. Last year we came in having swept them - and to beat ANYONE in conf 3 x's is REALLY tough. Having lost the last matchup, I see us coming out very prepared and ready to rumble.

this may well come down to Coach being able to out-gameplan and out-coach Duggar, and our guys coming out MOTIVATED and ready to "D" up.

GO FLAMES!

I don't think they will shoot 20 more foul shots than us on our home court again.

If we do a little better job on Reggie and take it to the hole a little more while still shooting the 3 when it is there, we should win by 10 or more.

My theory is put BJ on Reggie... BJ will punch him in the face if things get out of hand.

Have to agree with HMO on this one; the last thing I want to see is KO going coast to coast on every play.

The actual fans have no problem dropping the 3 bucks...but the problem is there are only about 500 true student LU fans...we need the ones that would occasionally come to a game when they had nothing better to do...and our past experience of hosting games has shown that they just wont show up...it also DOES NOT help when there is NO mention at TRBC about the game Sat or the upcoming game Tues, you just had 4,000 listening ears who feel like it's their duty to support anything TRBC and LU but only when they are reminded b/c they dont go out of their way to see whats taking place....not to mention locals on TV and radio audience..but thats for another thread.

You dont like it when he drives to the bucket? Seriously though we dont want to run with Reggie...I mean let's already put him in the books for 25 points...let's not run and make it 40

I feel like last time we came out trying to play their game and didn't make them play ours, and it cost us.

Any word if this game will be on MASN?

This game is all about defense. We didn't play any last time.

To address a point in the Radford postmortem thread that was locked, no, the mention of no BST wins in the last three years was not a dig at Randy Dunton. It's just the truth. I have nothing to gain by taking subtle digs at Dunton.

There ya go!!!! Great job Athletic Department!!! This is big...if we expected these fair weather fans that came to 2 games this year to show up AND pay $3 we would be sorely mistaken....this is great!

does anybody think that if we let the first 4000 students in for fee for regular season games we'd get 4000 students?
